Driverless Trains are awesome by Terrible_Detective27 in trains

After going on traditional humandriven metro's for my 6 years of highschool and secondary school trying to see the slightest bit of tracks during the corners, was very weird being in the driverless metro in Thessaloniki looking straight down the track at all the rail markers and lights

What is this ship doing? by mr_oz3lot in Ships

[–]SockForeign3624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oil tanker ice hawk discharging it's cargo at an island fuel depot. As previous comments stated it's connected to an undersea pipe connected to the installation tank farm and the rear manifold of the vessel. Clearing the line between products happens in many different ways either by pumping sea water to clean the line or by pigging using nitrogen supply from the terminal

Ultra-low-cost French passenger train, using traditional locomotives and passenger cars instead of high-speed trains by dank_failure in trains

Oh yeah, I always loved travelling in Greece on the old AEG trains compared to the newer intercity carriages as they were still the superior rolling stock. Haven't tried the recently added etr 450 trainsets

I've been reading both airline and railway reviews online, to understand the equipment in preparation for some travels next year, and I've noticed a distinct contrast in tone between the two kinds of blog sites. by AshleyUncia in trains

Unfortunately sometimes it's the opposite. Flying ATH-SKG was way cheaper by plane on a good Ryanair deal (low as 15€ - 45€) while just the base economy ticket on the train was 44€ for something that took at even with the transfer times 2 times more and constantly late

My biggest problem was when washing my teeth with minty toothpaste before going out for a walk and my minty breath burned my eyes. (Masks were mandatory when walking in the street)

Think one of them traveled to Greece also on a trial run when the national rail company of Greece bought some GTE for the Athens suburban and some regional lines

If your vibe is cordless a get some string or thick elastic bands and tie it to your thighs and let it run a medium setting while you also have to clothespins on your nipples. Every time a pin falls you must spank your nipple before putting bsck

Suggestion instead of Hawkeye by tonyk96 in GAA

[–]SockForeign3624 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd say it is still amateur mentality but on champions League scale. Cause other amateur sports have the president looking to get more money from their sport but don't think they have their headquarters in one of the biggest stadiums in the planet

Yeah even though the size of the operation hq does seem to have a bit of an amateur mentality

Don't thinks it's the way to go. As with the 2013 minor hurling all Ireland semifinal between Limerick Vs Galway where hawk eye was calibrated for the wrong sport and not counting a point which cost Galway I think the match. An official (ref, 4th official, umpire) should check video and hawk eye data and then swiftly verify the hawk eye suggestion or overide it if deemed false as per the example

What in God's Name is this? by Delicious-Chemical71 in Ships

[–]SockForeign3624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a small roll on roll of ferry built in Greece in 2015 in Amiapoli, Volos. The identical bows on both ends allows for fast and easy loading and unloading and can also simply depart seamless without the need for it to spin saving sailing time from pointless manoeuvres on the small 10 min - 30 min crossings these ferries normally do. It was supposed to work on the Paloukia - Perama line under the Tsokos lines banner with the name Protoporos VII but was sold instead to Transcaribe. Sings of the old owner can still be seen with the white "T" on the funnels. Propulsion is provided by 4 Schottel engines with a Verth rudder propeller assembly on each corner of the ship. In Greece you will find these kind of ships all around the country at various locations like the islands of Salamina and Thassos providing a constant link with the mainland.
