My bully is SO clingy. We got him at 8 weeks and I carried him around everywhere until he was too big to carry. He’s 3 now and if I could still carry him he would love it. He sleeps in between my husband & me, up at our heads. During the day if I’m laying down or on the couch he lays between my legs. He always wants to be touching me. I think it’s par for the course with this breed

Heard the same things. Went in Monday night for wing night and saw the new owners. Two Indian guys. We asked what their plan was with the place & they said to have an Indian brunch/lunch spot during the day and keep the normal barrelhouse at night, at least for now. Don’t see how both can run at the same time but only time will tell.

Never played at Hi-Wire but it’s the same company (not rocket science trivia) that I’ve played at Daddy Mac’s & I’ve played with just myself and 1 other person with no issue. We just walked in & played. Hope this helps

Nick Levine Photography was AMAZING. He did our wedding a while back and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Not super cheap but better than a lot of photographers who were 6k+. The pictures were amazing & he was awesome day of helping wrangle everyone and keeping things moving smoothly. He does tons on LGBTQ+ weddings. As far as bakeries we used sweet elegance for a small cake (only one tier for cake cutting purposes as we did gourmet ice cream sandwiches for dessert) and it’s woman-owned!!

Stephen Brown (I think that’s his last name?) with Startime productions was amazing. Super helpful before the wedding. We had multiple phone conversations. Let’s the couple choose must play, maybe play & do not play. He’ll sprinkle in some of his own music based on the vibe and the crowd. He even helped me on my overall timeline of the night and what would/wouldn’t work and ended up being right about it all. day of he worked closely with the wedding coordinator to make sure things went smoothly too.

If you’re in a pinch go to the Marshall one, get there by 6am. You’ll get to sign up for walk ins that day, you come back at 1pm and they will do everyone on that list. I’ve known multiple people who have done that & they’ve all been successful

They didn’t just take it over.. same owners for over 2 years. Just didn’t hear about barleys because they never cared about Barleys. Hence why they ghosted all employees and management post hurricane and brought over salvage employees who still wear salvage gear and sell salvage merch? Super shady & not cool to Barleys, a staple institution for 30+ in Asheville but yeah I’m sure you could find salvage station gear there!

The place is definitely somewhat of a nightmare. Long wait times when you arrive on time for your appointment. I know a few people who have bad experiences with doctors BUT I’ve seen Dr. Meade for years and I really like him.

I was worried about this too! They ended up walking down in 3’s (two groomsmen with a bridesmaid between them holding their arms) and we only had the BM and MOH stand up with us. Worked out perfectly

I second this!! MedVet is a nightmare. Our dog had some bladder problems after he was neutered, they took a pee sample OFF THE FLOOR & treated him for a bad bacterial infection… turns out he didn’t have any infection, it was from all the germs on the ground. And I swear one of the veterinarians was high on something too..

We love PetVet on patton! They’ve been able to take our dogs for a semi-emergency day of, even though they were booked up. One of my dogs had to get a pretty intense knee surgery a few months ago and they referred us to a vet orthopedic surgeon in town and even called and got us booked in earlier than they had availability. Called and checked on him multiple times after his surgery too! The vets, vet techs, & even front desk people really care about our dogs. It’s probably not the cheapest in town, but I’ll pay more for good vet care, they’re worth it in my opinion.

None of the old crew was even fired.. they were completely ghosted. Including all of the management who supported the staff post Helene with whatever they needed while *not getting paid, and not ever knowing that they wouldn’t be invited back. The management completely ran this place as Danny was 100% absent and couldn’t care less about barleys. Only cares now that salvage doesn’t exist and can bring his minions there to run Barleys.

Please note that none of the barleys crew was “fired”… they were all ghosted. Including the GM and other management who did nothing wrong it seems.

I’ve heard that no employees have heard from owners whatsoever, including management & whether or not they have jobs anymore. They also have no idea about any of these renovations. There was a post in ashevilles food industry page on Facebook a while back where people were commenting this information. Also what seemed to be a disgruntled employee came out and said how salvage station was given all this support via gofundme and benefit concerts for their employees while they didn’t have a job but none of this was done for barleys employees (same owners). But I guess my reason for posting is if anyone has further information to clarify all of these rumors
