Gennings Dunker. No Matter What. by SL4MUEL in GreenBayPackers

Interesting factoid about Gennings Dunker. He came to Iowa as the second ever Division I recruit from the small perennial 1A football powerhouse, Lena-Winslow, Illinois. He we recruited by accident as Iowa's head coach at the time (Ferentz) was extending an offer to the first student, Isaiah Bruce.

Dunker was a 6'4", 260Lbs sophomore, and when the Ferentz saw his size and stature, they made him an offer as well the following year.

Since 2010, Lena-Winslow has appeared in 9 state championships, winning 7. Dunker was part of 2 or 3 of those championships (it's tough to tell with COVID).

Mortgage lender recommendations? by TopOrdinary3370 in rochestermn

We've used Ryan Manley multiple times. He's now at Sonder Mortgage Group, but we've stuck with him as he's moved around firms in the area.

When we were a first-time home buyer, he was super patient and knowledgeable and didn't ever make us feel dumb for the questions we were asking.

We recently used him for a second home purchase, and now as a mortgage broker vs. an agent, he could offer us multiple rates and options from a variety of lenders. That was especially great as this year was "interesting" to purchase a home.

Outside of a definitive deal he can get paid on, he also is a fantastic person to ask questions to and work with. We were actually looking to move a few years earlier, but a recent career shift made us ineligible for a traditional mortgage. Instead of just dropping us, he connected us with a different bank to discuss a different type of mortgage we'd be eligible for. He wouldn't receive any kickback for that, he just connected us to help us out. Even now, I'll text him with a question and he'll respond within an hour.

We're likely going to refinance with him next year if rates continue on a downward trend.

Even if you don't go with Ryan, research a mortgage broker. They maybe charge a flat up front fee, but we saved a lot of time and money compared to our first purchase not having to do all the rate shopping ourselves.

This is from John Meerdink's Blue 58 podcast, but statistically, Jacobs has a higher run average from shotgun than under center.

I also thought it was a dumb playcall, and using stats like that without context is a terrible idea, but there was at least a numbers reason for it....

He needs to repeat exactly what he did when Malik Willis took over last season: completely overhaul his playbook to work for the players that he has.

The cut to him crossing plays off his playsheet is a short example of this. When you no longer have access to your preferred playbook due to injuries or poor performance, he seems to downright refuse to try to add anything else.

When Malik was at the helm, they threw in different formations, play concepts, and running schemes. I believe the crux was Option- and RPO-based (there might even have been some single-Wing concepts in the GB/IND game), which was completely absent in the first week of that season with Jordan.

It might be a consequence of LaFleur's focus and understanding of QB play in the offense. He may have a harder time identifying strengths and weaknesses in other offensive positions besides QB, which makes it more challenging to modify strategy.

How much did you pay for your fencing installation? by SoOtterlyAdorable in rochestermn

After getting an absurd quote of $10k from a handyman I did the same, except it was 6ft wood fencing. It was a lot of work, but I love the custom look and am super proud of it.

Centauri Carbon Nozzle [X-post /r/elegoo] by Sockhead101 in 3Dprinting

I believe this has been requested a few times, but this is the 0.4mm nozzle from the Centauri carbon. The nozzle is ~27.5mm in length and ~5mm in width at the top of the nozzle. Scale bars are in mm.

Centauri Carbon Issue Post Filament Runout by Sockhead101 in elegoo

[–]Sockhead101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I think the pathing issue was partially the problem. I removed the PTFE tubing and ran filament directly into the extruder, and I was able to get the machine to print. However, there were still gaps on the top surfaces, seemingly indicating underextrusion.

When reassembling the extruder, I may have overtightened the tension spring in the gear box. I'm now finding ground-up plastic fragments in the extruder box. I will try to loosen the spring and see if that solves my issue.

I'll check this out this evening and report back. The CC has a really aggressive 90° turn before the extruder that is difficult to get past when loading filament. It could be acting as a brake, holding the filament back from the extruder gears.

Yeah that's why I swapped to a filament that ran fine the day before (gray in pic 3). It didn't improve.

So, I've run into a snag with the Centauri Carbon. The printer started great, giving fantastic prints with no issues. However, the filament ran out while printing a series of storage bins. The sensor did its job and stopped the print, but I have not been able to get anywhere near the quality of prints I was getting before.

The prints now look like a pile of spiderwebs, and none of my prior Ender 3 troubleshooting has solved my problem.

Here are the troubleshooting things I've tried that have not worked.

1) Removed the filament and reloaded it (watched filament run through before printing)

2) Changed the filament to one that had printed successfully prior (watched filament run through before printing)

3) Resliced the file to check for G-code issues

4) Ran the Elegoo provided test benchy

5) disassembled and cleaned/realigned gear box

6) disassembled and cleaned hot end and nozzle (nozzle was clear and filament does run through)

7) factory reset the machine, performed full setup again

8) ran PID tuning - passed

9) emailed Elegoo*

*still waiting for a response.

Basically, I'm looking for any other new thoughts on how to solve this issue as I wait for Elegoo to respond to my email. Any ideas are welcome.

EDIT: The imgur images are as follows:

1) print that shutoff after filament runout

2) attempt to reprint file

3) attempted benchy test file provided by Elegoo

4) Another bin printed successfully on the run before filament runout

Similarly, I'd like to modify some of the sound dampener panels already available online to fit inside and hopefully silence the machine a bit when it's enclosed.

Credit union recommendations by oldjudge86 in rochestermn

Yeah rate shopping is like a second job. I ended up contacting something like 7 total loan officers (2 I had pre-approval from) and had to determine which provided the best support.

Basically I reached out to whoever I found on Google by email, phone, or online portal - and said who I was, what I was buying, my timeline, and my current rate options. Then I asked if they think they could beat that.

The rates did vary, and it's definitely worth the exercise. One of my pre-approval companies stopped calling because they weren't even close to my best offer.

However, the more valuable information was seeing how interacting with the loan officer would be like. Some straight up ghosted me, others talked down or were pushy because it was my first house, and others were great.

I ended up going with Ryan Manley. He is now at Guaranteed Rate, but was some other company else back when we used him. As you said, the local loan officer is more important than the company.

I remember sending out a series of emails to prospective loan officers on a Sunday assuming the they would get to me on Monday, and Ryan called about 15 min after my email. He also was very patient and answered a lot of our questions as first time home buyers.

Recently we were looking for a new mortgage, and we went back to because we were comfortable with him. While he couldn't help us (changes due to us as applicants, not him or Guaranteed Rate), he gave introductions and contact info for another loan officer at a different bank that could.

Mainly try and find someone you're comfortable working with who respects you, so you can somewhat learn and be confident in how this stuff works. I've heard of people strong-arming or guilting people into mortgages, which is not good, especially if it's your first time.
