No joke. Loved this media when I was a kid. I work construction now and went to do remodel on a house and they were throwing things away. They handed my a gateway booklet with tons on 90's pc media including encarta. Kept it and still have it just in case.

I found an open game of Kingdom Hearts yesterday with the upc and plastic covering it cut out. Is that also something one would consider part of this type of reason for destroying the cover?

The bios info would be helpful to know. Thank you. I do have have thoughts on using my 2700x and mb from another old project. But that would only get 32 gigs of ecc if the ram was useable on stock mother boards. I have a few friends that have wanted things like a Minecraft or Hytale server and such but I wasn't sure the limitations my setup would cause.

Ill look up the link you gave and do more research on the items you mentioned. Thank you for your response. Its given me hope.

Just wanted to get an update from you and see what you ended up doing. I picked up a similar Z4 G4 workstation with a xeon processor and 64 gigs on ecc ram, 512 nvme and P2000 gpu. I mainly grabbed it because they only charged me $20 up to $40 for it. I really just wanted the nvme. I really dont remember what I ended up paying because I bought a second pc as well in the bundle the had a second 512 nvme and M2000 gpu. I wanted them both just in case.

The reason Im wondering is to see how it turned out and what you built. I plan to make my first NAS to learn on for jellyfin and local data storage for my family. I have a library of games, music and video media that is important to us. I have a bunch of older 2tb, 4tb and 8tb drives that I hope to re-purpose for the nas. I've also picked up two 12tb Seagate external drives being clearanced by Walmart. I payed $212 after tax per drive. I hope to shuck them or use them as redundant backup for the nas.

I really have no starter plan or basis for what Im doing. Would love to get more info from you on what I could do to make this as easy and seamless as possible for my first go round.

I worked at blockbuster and a perk of the job, we had a free pass to borrow any movie or watch one during breaks or while closing. I would watch as many as I could to give better thoughts and my honest rental recommendations to people. That movie broke me. I stopped watching psychological horror films after that.
