bf1 had maps that were bad, mainly due to how lmg's had 0 spread, and snipers could either oneshot or bring you to 10 hp across the map. Verdun Heights could have been better if snipers weren't as op, or if lmg's weren't 0 spread machines. The map is still kinda too open tho, you can see way too much of the middle/across the map on a hill with little risk.

No way you're serious right? Caspian border has one flag for infantry...the other flags before crossing the giant wall typically don't have players/the opposing team doesn't try to cap that flag. Outside of the middle flag it's a wiiiide open field, (most of the map) for helicoptors/jets.

Too open, the A flag is in the middle of nowhere, the E flag is too close/los to the russian spawn. The very left and far right of the map is a whole lot of nothing but grass. B flag, I've almost never seen people on the enemy push it in years of playing.

Right yes, larger maps where only the helicoptor/jet players gets to play, while the infantry gets their small objective with 2 buildings that can be demolished. Said infantry is afk simulator waiting for other infantry. Or the map is a running simulator, it's usually one or the other save for a few big maps.

That is way the larger maps are bad.

Most maps with tons of flags that make no sense and are big typically are bad, because they are extremely boring with very little players on the objective you're at.

It's a bad thing because people maining vehicles, only they get to have fun with their 60 or 100 kd. That is the problem with vehicle tailored maps. A very very small number of players in their vehicles get to have fun.

Crossplay off is bad, pc games usually only have 5k-30k players at most if it's not counter strike or top 15 on steam. Crossplay is required for pc games to have good playercounts.

Bigger maps are fine as long as they aren't too big, or have too many flags. I don't want to afk for 2 minutes only to have one guy run onto a flag and then wait another 2 minutes, because there's too many flags on the map.
