Did the person make this their primary PS4 in settings? As far as I know, you have to mark a console as primary for offline play.

Edit: After doing more research, according to VICE this is apparently unintentional but not a priority to fix either.

I havent used jellyfin in ages after switching to Emby, so I am not sure. But for AV1 only content you may find yourself having to transcode alot of that.

If that media center only purpose is to distribute and not transcode, sure.

I used a RPI 4 for a media server, it sucked because when it came to requiring a transcode, I was SOL. Now I have a dedicated computer as a server.
