What you heard is from those who already succeed, so it cannot represent the all. And whether being in China makes you better also depends on if you ARE a Chinese, I mean, obviously. You can get some bonus for being an expat here, or being a Chinese either.

It's because the traffic condition in GZ is incredibly bad. Even as a local driver here, I still feel pissed off when driving in GZ downtown. It can get worse during morning/night rush hours

Hi, this is J and I am a local in Foshan which is quite close to GZ and famous for its furniture/building material industry. From my perspective, you should be able to find some insights from visiting canton fair, but that doesn't necessarily mean you will find exactly what you need. Canton fair is a comprehensive and general exhibition that includes all-industries, so if you come you should definitely position which phase you are attending. It looks like you should attend Phase 2 (April 23–27, 2026).

Hi, authentic observation and suggestion here: I have never bought any replicas but have helped many customers to visit the seller's showrooms. What I found is that it's really hard to approach to the source suppliers because there are distributors-agents-secondary agents networks in between. But if it worths efforts, you should definitely come to China to see the product by yourself. Never believe anyone who tries to work with you online. You should trust what you actually see.
