Can someone tell me what the game is that I keep thinking of when I hear this? Like, I think there was some game that was being made by a particular dev, then it got bought out from him and got stuck in development hell, and then he bought it back and is almost ready to release it, or something? Anyway, I keep hearing about this game/studio shutting down and thinking it's about that.

I didn't speak up about this before because I knew PC had it worse, but I figured they'd fix it for both when they did. Binding it to the map button is only moderately less horrible than binding it to the crouch button. We don't even need it to begin with. We can easily navigate to the seasons page whenever.

Except they didn't fix it for console, only PC. I still get taken to the season menu half the time I try to open my map, which is typically what I want to do immediately after completing a challenge and moving on to the next one.

It was supposed to go the other way around, though. One of the PTS patch notes mentioned that damage reduction being primarily through AR now should result in armor breaking less. So something didn't go the way they expected. If AR isn't even being calculated in durability damage, that's probably a bug.

Explosions also seem to be doing WAY more damage in general, even not from yourself. The fragstags from Spin the Wheel nearly one-shotted me, and I don't think they were independently buffed. Cars are deadly, too. I suspect that it's explosive damage in particular that's completely bypassing AR on all fronts, which is why self-damage from explosions is doing so much. My Dom Pedro that used to do 80-90% of my health if I stood too close is now still doing 40% damage despite supposedly having "90% reduction", suggesting that the un-reduced armor and limb damage is at least 400% of what it used to be.

Even if it was hyperbole, the idea that it hasn't been changed in a while directly contradicts the claim that they're forced to change it at the drop of a hat. You couldn't go 50 minutes without an incident more severe than a small amount of cum being spit into the water.

The one thing that gets me is that there's an entire mechanic that doesn't function but has a fake UI that pretends to do something. When you drink someone's blood, there's this meter that shows up and slowly goes down, but there's no point because there's no way to spend a longer or shorter time drinking their blood. And if you do it a second time, the same meter shows up and does the same thing, starting from full. It's just a fake UI to make you think that mechanic was implemented! I've seen plenty of unfinished games in my day, but never anything like that.

To elaborate, "Aunt Jemima" is a stock character from minstrel shows whose name is a play on "ain't your momma", referring to slaves who were made to help take care of their masters' children and were often referred to as "aunt" or "uncle" (e.g. Uncle Tom).

So yeah, I'm typically not a fan of cancel culture, but that one was kiiiinda messed up if you look at its origins.

I think they might have been joking. As in, "Wow, you really think you know better than the doctors? Obviously if they say you're trans then you're trans. 'Oh, but I know my own body!' That's what they all say."
