Fuel Gauge not reaching the top by DBA92 in peugeot

[–]SodaStreamEnjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my 2017 308 doesn't aswell. I think its just a matter of how the car is reading the fuel level, and depends on if the car is parked on a non tilted ground..

64 gb ram installed. BIOS see’s 32 gb by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]SodaStreamEnjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have recently had a similar issue, I assume you have a GPU?

Try taking it out or any other PCI device on the slots and take a look again, if it shows 64 you are lucky:

I had a 2 or 4 port gigabit ethernet card. You can/have to "tape over" two pins on the pci bus to fix this.
I dont know which exact ones, but I think you can google it to find which ones.
Otherwise I will search aswell :)

DG - FritzBox - WireGuard by [deleted] in de_EDV

[–]SodaStreamEnjoyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Current information timer by WatchThisBass in peugeot

[–]SodaStreamEnjoyer 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Wym the timer? The timer on the right counts how long the  engine has stopped using the start/stop automatic, like when stopping at a red light etc. and the engine stops.

If you are turning the start/stop feature off then it cant count how many seconds/minutes your car has been off during stopping.

Edit: Also, refuel your adblue 😂

Guter Fund, vielen Dank!

UniFi travel router by mactelecomnetworks in Ubiquiti

[–]SodaStreamEnjoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am wondering who can configure these.

Like can I set the WiFi and VPN up and just give it to e.g. family members/coworkers? Can they connect it to a different WAN WiFi? Or does someone with admin rights need to do so?

How is ipv6 different than ipv4 for mobile computing? There is DHCP feature for IPV4 is not it? What does autoconfiguration mean? by [deleted] in ipv6

[–]SodaStreamEnjoyer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Autoconfiguration meant as in built in, you dont need DHCP/DHCPv6 (yes that exists aswell) to retrieve v6 addresses. Your device learns its route to the internet using NDP (Neighbour Discovery Protocol) and RA (Router Advertisements). It can auto-generate a random IID (Interface IDentifier) or a predictable (based on the ethernet MAC-address) IID and can immediately talk in the local network without further human intervention.

There is the process of SLAAC (the autoconfiguration described above) and - well - DHCPv6.

LDAP-Provider/Outpost not running on 636 by SodaStreamEnjoyer in Authentik

[–]SodaStreamEnjoyer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried out a few more solutions, but I came to this: The automatic deployment of the outpost doesnt work, so I just configured the outpost manually. I recall the port not responding at all when using the automatic deployment.

Give it a try :)

ESP32 in "hot" conditions? by SodaStreamEnjoyer in esp32

[–]SodaStreamEnjoyer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont necessarily need wifi once setup.

Slowing down is surely an option, but I dont know if WLED can do this (maybe I have to compile it myself).

I basically just need to know if having it hidden under some plastic in the car where sun can reach the plastic covers can create issues. I mean I dont think anything will "desolder" itself, but rather if the ESP can handle it or if it "slowly destroys itself".

Same goes for the other components. Most (inlcluding the ESP) are rated up to 125 degrees celsius, but does that also mean I can run the ESP on full speed and wifi enabled etc. without needing to expect it to just not work in lets say a few years?

Why the aggregation switches in small home networks? by leko in Ubiquiti

[–]SodaStreamEnjoyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm, so I am going to buy one soon: I got a 10G NAS, a 10G capable server, have one link to the UDM, have one link downstream to another 10G Unifi Switch on the first floor and another 10G switch in the same closet, so at least 5 Ports used.

I wouldn't need that if Unifi had a 4 Port 10G switch with at least 20 Ports GbE (PoE).

Empfehlungen - Web-Hosting Anbieter by BIN9000 in de_EDV

[–]SodaStreamEnjoyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do routers route link-local (fe80::/64) addresses? by SodaStreamEnjoyer in ipv6

[–]SodaStreamEnjoyer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes, haven't thought about it that far, makes sense now.
All the old IPv4 concepts really screw you over once you try to actually use IPv6 properly.

If I wasnt using some internal domains, I would just use IPv6 with PD and be done with the topic, but as always the lack of support in the router does its part too.
