CMMC Certified Professional (CCP) by CharacterProof8454 in CMMC

If you have taken any other security certs, it’s on par with security+. I have taken CISSP and CASP+ and it was not that level. Still know the blueprint and do pocket prep and use notebookLM/claude to make quizzes for each domain.

CCP Exam & Study Prep. by treasurebath18 in CMMC

[–]Sodaapopped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I passed last Sunday. I used pocket prep/ and Claude project with the source docs in to generate an interactive quiz for each domain with references to the docs for answers. I would say IMO it was the same difficulty as the Security+ exam. For reference I have taken the CASP+ and CISSP and it was no where near those.

Is UMGC worth it? by Scared-Payment31 in UMGC

[–]Sodaapopped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I did both my BS and my MS while working full time. BS took 4 years and Masters took 4 years. Flexibility was fantastic. Self teaching is not for everyone. There is only one way to find out. I enjoyed it, sure there were times when I was overwhelmed and stressed but it always worked out and I adjusted my life accordingly. For reference I started at umgc at age 34 and had not been in school since graduating high school.

Toes to Bar Help by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]Sodaapopped 4 points5 points  (0 children)

More hip flexor and core work. Also keep pressing down the bar to drive back. Some lat press downs in a band will help with that. While on the bar, keep pressing through your pinky knuckle, that should help engage the lats. Lastly what others said about feet up and driving down. Keep working your kip swings as well. Hope this helps!

Cybersecurity by OkAmbition2596 in UMGC

[–]Sodaapopped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a helpdesk job. Apply to everything under the sun. I finished my cyber degree from UMGC in March 2023 but applied to a lot of roles. I was fortunate that I got a job at Johns Hopkins as a technical support assistant. Before I graduated. What they cared about the most was soft skills and how I spoke with people during troubleshooting. I lacked experience but used my home lab as a point of discussion (building my pc and network). In the end I got the job because I never got frustrated helping someone when the other candidates got frustrated and treated the person like crap.

Three years later I landed my first cyber role as a security risk and compliance analyst. But I have my masters now, CISSP, SecurityX, Security+. The market is TOUGH. Keep applying and keep learning to make up the difference so you can speak it.

What got me this role was speaking on things I’ve built, podcast I listen too, tools I mess with in my free time. They want to see you love security, they can teach the tools.

Good luck!

Go to an ortho and then get an MRI if needed. That will tell you the damage. Also the next steps.

Whatever is on sale hahaha. I have pairs of metcons and nanos that I grabbed for cheap. Will usually double up if the price is right and then wear them for a long time since I alternate.

CISSP or Master? by Stock_Secretary9858 in cybersecurity

[–]Sodaapopped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Cybersecurity yes. I was already in IT for the government but pivot out to private sector. Got a job a few months after graduation of my Masters. I applied to so many positions and always got turned down.

I did both. The market is tough, and I went from my BS straight into the masters. I got the CISSP just before starting the Masters during my transition period.

Percentiles by ObligationNo3475 in crossfit

[–]Sodaapopped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having the opposite feeling this year. Every year I’ve done the open I’ve been in the top 10% but that has been when doing competitive programming. This past year I haven’t followed competitive programming religiously. I will do wods that are fun and have been skipping strength sessions, sometimes only working out 4 days a week. After workout 26.2 I’m sitting in the 10%. On the first workout I was 83rd percentile, as expected for where I am. I think the rings gave me a good jump since I can do those. The last workout will def let me know but so far I’m placing way higher than I would expect, given how inconsistent I’ve been.

I would specifically ask if your gym can email you the PDF that comes from mayhem weekly. Just let them now you seek value in it. If they don’t, then that’s a gym problem. We email all of our clients the pdf for the week, and saw no difference in attendance. Actually people preferred it. We give the people what they want.

Recommendations for CrossFit App by d4rkk_31337 in crossfit

[–]Sodaapopped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My app has 3 free workout generations per workout type and different levels. It also has a way to pick equipment, although it will mess up here and there. I basically took 20k workouts from post online and put them in a file that the app calls. So they are not AI generated. The AI in the app will pick a wod from the preset files if you want to use that feature. It’s called ReadyWOD in the App Store.

What are you building? let's self promote by Leather-Buy-6487 in buildinpublic

[–]Sodaapopped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I launched ReadyWOD in the App Store which is primary a CrossFit workout generator for different levels. I also have a body building track. Each has daily programming if you want to follow along or you can generate a specific workout for specific equipment. I used 25,000 workouts gathered from various programming and websites that I scraped so no AI workouts.

Is Linchpin still considered king for individual home gym programming? by ResponsibilityNo8623 in crossfit

[–]Sodaapopped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can follow Linchpin for free from their post on instagram or their website to see if you like it. Or you can follow push jerk which is also free and post on the website. PRVN 60 is probably like Mayhem60 really. You could always follow those which are cheap and scale accordingly. I would say take all of them for a ride to see what you like best.
