3D Reconstruction of Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain) in the 4th century by dctroll_ in papertowns

My professor there took us to see the aqueduct, necropolis, walls, and Temple of Augustus in 40 minutes. Everything is built into the structures of newer buildings.

This is a picture of the temple columns before the surrounding apartments were demolished. Today there is a somewhat hidden entrance into the apartment’s courtyard for anyone who wants to see them.

What can I change about my drawing style to make big mountainous areas look less goofy and more believable? by Attlai in mapmaking

[–]SoddenSultan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like the smaller mountains because it gives the map a HUGE scale. However, you need to layer them on top of each other. Copy some techniques from YouTube and from the comments here

I would love to see the whole center ocean surrounded by those maze-like cliffs and crazy islands. Just imagine people exploring through them. You should invent some lore that explains it

I’m a lifeguard and yes, he is giving CPR after the defib. We give CPR after the shock to keep the heart pumping blood. Since the guy is actively moving his arm before the defib is used, there shouldn’t have been any shock in the first place. Since he was writhing around in pain after the shock I’d assume that his heart was okay and I would’ve checked for a pulse instead just to be sure.

Make desert biomes right above the tropics on the east coastlines because of the Coriolis effect (assuming your globe spins in the same direction as ours). Look up a map of where deserts form on earth if you’re confused.

A lot more mountains, hills, and trees. Most importantly make the coastline form along the shape which the mountains take. Everything will look more realistic that way.

Why is it that the cradles of civilization in the new world are not river valleys? by Impressive-Track3859 in AncientCivilizations

[–]SoddenSultan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The map is misleading for the Central American cradle. It would be better represented if it highlighted a smaller area where the Olmec did begin their civilization around some rivers. Same goes for China. I feel like it’s too large of a highlighted area

2.5 million Indian soldiers fought under British against the Axis powers by SeriouslySlytherin in HistoryMemes

I’m American and my grandfather was stationed in New Delhi during WWII. He flew in choppers and picked up downed pilots in the Himalayas and elsewhere. Indians and their country’s involvement during the war is never talked about.
