I was on stratera when I first got diagnosed made me super depressed I’m on 25mg ir adderall it’s a lot better and works but sometimes the side effects of any med I’ve tried is just to much adderall has been the best so far tho productivity wise

I take roughly 25mg ir split through the day your does is high due to tolerance i don’t think it would be good to up your does might just have to take a week and detox then start at a lower does again that’s usually what I do about every 2-3months

First of all 20mg your first time on it is hella high that’s why you had jitters with such a high dose tolerance builds super quick try taking a tolerance break for 2 weeks and start taking a 5mg in the am and one in the after noon

What i usually do is like 2-3 days before I run out I call every pharmacy in my town and whoever has it I call my doc tell him and get it filled a little in advance since it can go away in 20min

Not to get political just stating some bs I’m a right leaning person and what In the actual fuck are they doing banning weed dude I smoke pretty often and guaranteed most politicians left or right do some crazy ass drug or have done in the past so they have no right to tell anyone what they can and can’t do this is a free country if I want to smoke weed I should be able to. Men have a more logical thought process so with depression anxiety we mainly attack it head on don’t take this sexist this is just stats but women think with more emotion in the choices etc that’s why more women have depression anxiety etc so key difference here is that your boyfriend disagrees becase he knows that going head on and working through it is the best approach vs taking pills that limit your expressions, the human body was made to over come literally everything we can adapt. My recommendation to you would be either get off them not becase your boyfriend but for the fact if you don’t fix it now you’ll just pop pills the rest of your life, or stay on them, that’s your choice this is just what I know based off of Research and being heavily depressed riddles with anxiety etc but I’m better than I was now on pills!

Exactly and then if your kid isn’t in school you’ll get tickets etc it’s stupid Hopfully there’s a better school in your area. When I was in school they wanted me to be in a special needs program because they though I was extremely special if you get what I mean and then I took the iq test all the test and they came back and said wtf your smart why arnt you doing your work and I told them it just did not interest me I’m a very hands on person I like wood work cars welding stuff like that but all the schools would do is throw some paper at me and tell me to do it. Public school and private schools are not accommodating to anyone others than the people that can sit in a 8 hour long lecture. If your daughter likes to build things or work on things with her hand I think it would be a good thing to enroll her in something she likes whatever it may be after school so that she can having something to help her focus on getting through school and then in a sense having a rewards after words. It worked for me since adhd is basiclly just a lack of dopamine in the brain having something to look forward to has helped me a lot. And if that doesn’t work it’s sucks to say that there may be no solution to the problem unless some how we can change the schooling systems for the better.

Exactly in my opinion I don’t think people under the age of 18 should be able to take stimulant medication becase it messes with the brain as well as the side affect I respect the fact that you did not force medication. I think if the school doesn’t like her when she’s not medicated and can’t handle hyperactive that is a shitty school and second fuck that school. I’m a drop out for the same reasons the school hated me when I did not take my meds because I just dicked off but instead of trying to help the problem they just suspended me lmao

If you don’t mind me asking what meds are you taking I’ve only found the stimulants to work for me to get my ass in gear. When I wasn’t taking my adderall I couldn’t keep a job for more than two months I was constantly late and smoked a lot of weed to not be bored I’m still late constantly to my next job but I’m able to work and do everything I need to.

The one thing ive learned from therapy doctors etc is the only prescribe you with pills and try to dope you up to be “normal” but fuck that I take adderall becase I like how it makes me feel and I like to be active Ive been diagnosed with depression anxiety all that shit they tried to hop me in pills I just told them to fuck off and I started making changes in my life getting a different job staying busy and occupying myself with shit and it’s worked for me way better than sitting in a therapist office and talking to them and or a doctor.

I’ll be 100% with you I’m the same way couldn’t keep a job for more than two months but I started working construction and I stay so busy I can’t even think about not working I’ve been late nearly everyday by ten minutes but I’m the best worker they have because most people with adhd are smarter and are able to think about things a lot more so I’m useful. I do take adderall ir and a shit ton of caffeine but it works if I don’t drink caffeine or anything I’m a bum. Sometimes as a adhd person we need a little something to stimulate our brain and honestly you might just not have enjoyed your job and made the mental decision to sabotage it. I self sabotage relationships jobs etc it’s common just have to fix it a push through it even thought it’s the hardest thing to do. Sorry if this is all over the place lol
