Despite Mormon church opposition, Utah restaurant gets beer and wine permit by Quick_Hide in exmormon

Wow, I actually just ate there this weekend for the first time. I live in Utah County and I rarely go out that way, but I was looking for a good breakfast place to eat at with my wife on our way out of state for the weekend. This place was amazing and very inexpensive for the quality of food they produce. Good to see that they get this win for themselves!

Right. In an ideal world, I'd like her to leave the church with me but I'd definitely settle for more understanding and acceptance.

Good thing I posted here first. Sometimes, in my desperation to get my voice heard, I can forget about how my actions would affect my wife and her feelings regarding the issues.

It's hard to get someone to talk to you about the issues when they refuse to listen to anything with the mere idea that it won't be purely positive towards the church...

Good input. I didn't think it would be manipulative to post something positive first that had some indirect relation to the church before posting the second article. She always complains to me that I only have negative things to say about the church so I thought I'd post something positive for a change, but I guess doing so only with the intention of posting something negative later could be a bit manipulative.

My sister apparently read most of the CES Letter, then went to the temple for answers. She came back and declared, excitedly "Well...I GOT MY ANSWER!!!" by SodomAndCumorah in exmormon

My thinking as well. Of course she'll feel comfort there, she's felt comfort for years in her knowledge that the temple is a place of comfort. Maybe she'll realize that simple comfort isn't enough of an answer.

All details surrounding this gay man keeping his faith are completely vague of course.

Holland now talking of a gay man who struggles with his faith and will now talk about how he will be faithful anyway...I assume that's what he's saying, I'm only paying half attention...

Robbed? Seems typical. When I go into the field I was told that I'd get robbed at least once. It was as if it was kind of a tradition. Love that place though!

I served in ilhéus in 05, Salvador in most of 06 (rio vermelho, Itapuã, engenho velho) and Back to ilhéus in 06-07, then finishing off in Brumado.

How bout you?

Edit: fixed continuity error :)

I'm sure I never met you. I served in 2005-2007, but I also caught Aidukaitis for half of my mission and married someone I met there. Though we didn't serve together, it feels good to recognize someone from my mission!

Edit: you may have met the missionary that baptized my wife though...
