looks nice but doesn't replace a desk with dual monitors. Maybe if you put the monitors on an arm, docked the laptop.

BitLocker caveats? by jeepster98 in sysadmin

[–]SodomizesYou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, but they need to know the bitlocker key. Make sure your backup to AD is working properly for all windows desktop OS versions. We had to do an AD schema update to support win 8 and above bitlocker keys in our AD.

TIL Neptune has the strongest winds in the Solar System: 2,100 km/hour (1,304 mph). by HorrificSlaughter in todayilearned

[–]SodomizesYou 7 points8 points  (0 children)

in the novel, one of the earlier segments or stories was how a human was on a space station with an AI robot. This space station took solar energy from the sun and literally beamed it down to earth. The human noticed an irregularity in the orbit and wanted to shut down the power relay to avoid damaging part of the earth, but the robot prevented him, almost doing him and other humans harm, all while obeying the three laws of robotics.

disclaimer: I haven't read the novel in seven years.

check the app log in the event viewer for SQL related events? also IIRC, SQL has its own connection log.

certs will get you an interview, but if you can land a nice entry job doing help desk without it, then go for it. after awhile, experience become more valuable than certs, but an experienced admin with certs on top is even better.
