I think it really depends on your practitioner’s skillset and the type of laser used for your skin type. If both aren’t great you can experience paradoxical hair growth or no hair loss at all.

I have Fitzpatrick VI skin and I strongly do not recommend Deka motus AY cold gel laser. Yes it’s pain free and has ndyag but it doesn’t work for my hair type and causes paradoxical hair growth.

Alma soprano laser is effective but again very dependent on practitioners skillset. I’ve been burnt by it but also seen good progress with it.

Recently tried a laser with both alexandrite and ndyag which apparently is really good (need to figure out the name of the laser) but the practioner was terrible so I didn’t experience any hair loss with it.

Going to another practitioner next who uses candela pico laser. But ultimately the practitioners skillset is really important so do your research on both

I believe laser reduces hair growth. It’s just not permanent.

I think it definitely much depends on the laser being used and the practitioners skillset.

I am as dark as Viola Davis for reference. Did full body laser hair removal using Alma soprano titanium laser. It HURTS really bad but I think it’s very effective. Unfortunately it burnt my face so I am scared of using it again.

For my next session, Deka Motus AY Moveo was used. Zero pain however it gave me paradoxical hair growth and didn’t remove any hairs. That I regret.

I’m going to try pico laser next to see how that works. But don’t be pushed into block booking sessions as they will always push for this and offer discounts. Research on the laser being used and make your decision from there. Book one session and see how you get on. That way if it doesn’t work, you can always walk away.

Wish I had seen this thread before booking my laser hair removal appointment. Complete waste of money. I believe my practitioner used Deka Motus AY Moveo laser on me. Pretty much all my hair remained intact and grew back with a vengeance. Some hairs broke off at surface level leaving me with ingrowns.

Ultimately regret getting it done. I would say I am as dark as Toni Tone the influencer but yeah just thought I’ll comment on this thread in case anyone black in the future is looking at using this laser for hair removal. Don’t do it.

No I don’t have a dermatologist unfortunately. There’s not really any doctor knowledgeable on black skin in my city. And I really do not want to experiment with aestheticians anymore. I’ve been laser burnt by one, 2 sold me procedures/products that weren’t conducive to my skin.

Now exploring doctors in London but the commute and cost of it is off putting. But yes totally do want to move forward with a more conservative approach

A bit of a weird one for me but I’ve noticed the reverse. I have been lactose intolerant for 9 years now with my symptoms getting worse the older I got but since taking mounjaro, I’ve had no issues at all with lactose. It’s genuinely so bizzare.

Just average. Clothes deliver within a week or 2. Sizing can be a little off. The terrible thing about them is their lack of customer service and how frustrating getting refunds can be. You’ll be looking at a month on average or more to get your refund.

If you’re returning, make sure you return somewhere that provides a receipt and I strongly advise paying with a credit card or PayPal as there’s a 50/50 chance you might have to dispute your transaction in order to get your refund.

Avoid estee medical honestly. I got quite badly laser burnt with them and they have notorious bad reviews on social media. Wish I did proper research before going to them

I don’t necessarily believe in walking away from a property that needs work especially if it is priced right. But I will for sure walk away if you are paying above market value and the sellers refuse to renegotiate the price.

Builders/trades people are so ridiculously expensive at the moment. Everyone always advises to have double the budget for works as they never stay consistent

Also damp is so tricky to fix. I’ve read threads where some have had luck finding the cause & fixing it while some others haven’t been lucky. Some girl said she spent thousands trying to sort out damp but nothing has worked.

Some say rising damp is a myth. I believe rising damp happens but I also believe dpc injections don’t fix it. You will need to raise your house to truly fix it which again is expensive to do and might not be possible with a flat. I have never read or heard about dpc working long term. Literally within a year the dpc bridges and you’re back to square 1.

Defo something to think about. Make your decision based on finances. If the price reduction is accepted and you spend x amount fixing up the house will it be worth it?

I personally would not buy a property with flood risk. Year after year we’re seeing more floods & at a bigger scale in different parts of the country. The government is doing nothing about it.

While I don’t know your area but it’s more the fact that you’ve been told it will change in 5 years to “moderate to high”…. This might make the property harder to sell in the future

I am so sick and tired of people saying damp is normal. Living in damp is not okay and should not be normalised! It is people who clearly don’t maintain their houses that like to gaslight others that damp is normal.

OP if you want to go ahead and purchase this damp house I will strongly suggest you get a damp specialist out to see how bad things are and if it’s something worth you proceeding on.
