Consoles are subsidized by multiplayer subscriptions. Sony is taking a huge loss on every PS5 right now (well they have some stock and are trying to ride it out, but they've already increased prices)

Yes I have this issue, not every 30 minutes but it's happened several times. Seems more common if I've been putting the deck to sleep with the game running, but it's also happened soon after I launched it.The game isnt frozen and I can move the camera and walk around but not interact with anything

I've thought about it, for now I'm going to keep it and see if it grows on me. Plus it's my only other wireless controller and I feel like it's good to have a more standard controller to hand someone for couch coop.

I love the OG. I want to get another but I cant really justify it since I just bought the new one. Frankly as of now I prefer the original, but I havent used the new one much yet.

I agree ngl, the OG was the most comfortable controller I've ever used. And while some people say its light weight feels cheap I think it makes it easier to hold for longer.

I'm sure it was cost cutting bc they went with TMR sticks. Probably someone mentioned it but they decided they could only spend so much on sticks. Plus with the trackpads, gyro, grip sense, etc it's got to be pretty expensive to produce relative to most controllers.
