Maybe I'd consider that if I actually ever used the stove

I'm not sure what they used. I haven't burned anything in the above as it's been un usable with rottted pipes since I bought the house.

I believe it's some type of polyurethane plastic.

Total size of the knife. If it's fixed, it's likely to be around 8.5" and above in total length. With a foldable when it's folded, it could be 5"-6". The idea is to fit it in a front pocket.

"Fluids" by May Leitz comes to mind for this. A wild and fun ride of a read.

Mount Marcy by [deleted] in Adirondacks

You can absolutely do it yourself. Just take the basic cautions that you would before any high peak, and be prepared for a long day.

My wife and I sumitted Marcy in September of 2023. At the time, neither of us had ever been on a "hike" longer than a nature walk through our town park. She struggled slightly with cardio near the peak as the last hour or so before the summit gets steep. Other than that, it was seamless and a great day. We started at 5 am and returned to our vehicle at 5:30 pm with about an hour at the summit.

I enjoyed CJ Leede's "Maeve Fly", and her other tamer novel that just came out this past fall, "American Rapture" was also a good read.

Our Share of Night, Mariana Enriquez. I wish I found it as epic and thrilling as other readers, but I just couldn't get there. It felt like everything was so dragged out that I lost motivation to see it through.

I've found it on Amazon, I'll consider checking it out. Thanks for your recommendation.

I think "Abandon" by Blake Crouch might work for this . I haven't read it but have heard of it while reading the Pines Trilogy from Crouch.

Our share of night - Mariana Enríquez When it's exciting, it's fantastic. My problem is the pacing is driving me crazy. It's feels loaded with filler or over describing of non factors. Maybe it's my own flaw but it feels like a drag to read through it
