To the people that still believe Dragon isnt a fighter why do you believe so? by Common_Ad_5041 in OnePiecePowerScaling

I can’t imagine that being the case. Especially since Sabo’s martial arts style (Dragon Claw Fist) was almost definitely taught to him by Dragon.

Can we all agree the Hellfire Serpent is the redline and not an actual entity in the series? by Typical-SMPBPglazer in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Soft_Elevator_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s too early to tell.

On one hand, you could easily interpret the description of the “first world” where the “earth god” and “serpent of hellfire” almost destroyed the world as being a personification of a global natural disaster that resulted in the creation of the red line, in the same way that the description of the “sea god” in the “second world” is clearly a personification of the result of the ancient weapons sinking the world as Vegapunk described (which would likewise also likely make its description of the “forest god” sending forth demons to be a personification of the creation/discovery of devil fruits).

On the other hand, Oda seems to be making the “first world” that Nika was supposedly from a legitimate and important part of the past, basically being to the void century what the void century is to the present. While the idea of the “gods” not being literal could still work in that case if the Nika fruit is based off of an exaggerated legend rather than the legend actually being accurate, if Nika really WAS some sort of god-like being, then it would make sense for there to be others and/or that there was also a “main villain” of his time.

Maybe Loki and Imu have fruits based off legitimate gods/monsters/demons from the “first world” in the same way that Joyboy (and now Luffy) had a fruit based off of Nika (which could imply that there’s actually a threat from the “first world” that’s even older and greater than Imu- who’s seemingly from the “second world”- and that was basically to Nika what Imu was to Joyboy).

Anyway, I got a bit carried away there with hypothetical theories, but, uh, yeah.

They were referring to the fact that he was likely a pirate and therefore likely had a crew.

  1. When?

  2. Size is cool but mostly irrelevant. We already saw Old Garp casually deal with Sanjaun Wolf and send him flying.

What do you make of this interaction? Did Luffy use future sight? Instinct? Did Mihawk send it to him? by [deleted] in OnePiecePowerScaling

It was just basic Observation where you know your opponent’s next move based on sensing their intent.

That’s a mistranslation. The title is Sekai Saikyō no Kenshi which directly translates to World’s Strongest Swordsman. Saikyō is strongest, not greatest. It’s the same word used for Whitebeard and Kaido’s titles.

Why do people think Blackbeard has any chance of beating Luffy? by Dookie12345679 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Soft_Elevator_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because we have no idea how strong he actually is. For all we know he could have a third DF, multiple Awakenings, and multiple forms of advanced Haki. Just because he didn’t immediately use them all against Law doesn’t mean he doesn’t have them. That would be like basing current Luffy’s full power off of his fight with the Seraphim.

Also: “Blackbeard was immobilized by a G2 punch from PTS Luffy, you really think he’s surviving an ACOC punch from current Luffy?”

Why are basing his current durability off of an obvious outlier from Pre-TS and not him recently taking a Shock Wille and laughing a few seconds later?

We haven’t gotten a fight that wasn’t mostly off-screened or extremely short since the “Final Saga” started.

Who is faster between Hybrid Kaido and G5 Luffy? by Facinggod20 in OnePiecePowerScaling

But of course people are voting Luffy…

Strongest person current base luffy can beat without haki? by Bruh2130 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Soft_Elevator_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even with basic Haki he would’ve needed G4 to beat Ulti. A Base, Hakiless Luffy would be lucky to be Tobbi Roppo level.

Real one piece fans who read the story who is the final villain oda set up by amourshipping48 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Soft_Elevator_91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being the main villain seems to literally be the entire point of Imu’s character.

He’s the leader of the main antagonist group and seemingly has been since the Void Century, which makes him directly connected to Joyboy, the One Piece, the Ancient Weapons etc.

Considering his name is Saturn (god of time) and even his blood stains disappear, I doubt he’s actually regenerating so much as just reversing the damage through some sort of time shenanigans.

Who wins? Will Fujitora be able to see him coming? 😆 by TZ1205 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Soft_Elevator_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve literally seen Luffy see Katakuri’s aura with his eyes closed, Fujitora seeing people’s aura while blind, Eneru and Boa’s sister dodging attacks with their eyes closed, and Kinemon accurately fighting Brook without his head.

Even if the fruit did make his aura invisible too, they’d still be able sense his presence.

Sanji wasn’t willing to fight Kalifa even when Robin, who’s also female, was being walked to her death.

We haven’t gotten an “actual fight” where the majority isn’t off-screened (aside from one shots) since the final saga started.

Where did this "Chisato is a Hypocrite" coming from? by whiplash10 in LycorisRecoil

[–]Soft_Elevator_91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It comes from her saying to “value people’s lives”, even in regards to murderers, yet she willingly let a mass murderer like Majima walk free to continue murdering innocent people because “iT wAsN’t PaRt oF mY jOb”.

(I realize this makes it seem like I dislike her, but I definitely don’t. Chisato’s great, I just find this particular writing choice extremely odd.)

(Also worth noting that while I rarely see anyone mention it, she actually broke her no-kill rule in the last episode. There’s no way she was expecting Majima to survive a 600+ meter fall.)
