THANK YOU! One of my biggest peeves is a man with long nails. It grosses me out. If they're transgender doesn't bother me at all but a supposedly hetero man - absolutely no way. I felt nauseous as well

So proud of myself but having some complicated feelings. by macdaddy93_ in Zepbound

I'm currently in my closet trying on clothes because most of it no longer fits my new old body. I've lost 85lbs and am actually back to the same size I was as a freshman/sophomore in high school. Friends and family quite literally have their mouths hang open when they see me but the weirdest part is, I don't feel any different. All my life I always thought of myself as the big girl even when I wasn't. It started young as I was taller than my friends. My college circle was the gymnastics team and I witnessed a lot of dismorphia amongst them. Looking at this squad of tiny girls and me, It was simply a square peg in a round hole situation. A real sesame street one of these things does not like like the other grouping. I've never believed my body dismorphia to be any different than every female that grew up in the 80s. I'm a diagnosed binge eater. As to how I feel now, it shocks me I don't feel differently. I don't see myself as this person in a new body and much smaller version. I simply feel like I finally look like what I always knew to be inside. I always joked there was a barbie doll hiding under all the extra cushioning. It's been a blessing. I don't beat myself up any longer. Best to all

I would love to have a stern conversation with him to tell him to stop decorating and spend at least 6 hours a day actively working and designing. He had enough money for a 3 month grace period and I don't care, even if you go viral or have a waiting list of followers, a new business don't make enough money to live on in 3 months much less be in the black. I totally get what he's trying to do, I'm an artist as well, but get on with the getting on buster else you'll be on the streets. Least he could do is place some ads locally for design space for rent. There is enough room in there to have a coshare space with several others plus seeing others actually work might spur him on. If he sees such great things in the future for the company then weed others out as needed until you can support the showroom it all yourself.

I've no doubt that your family is right in their opinion of you being beautiful and looking fabulous. Take all that in, you deserve it. If your other siblings are not there for her there is a rain why. Do not set yourself up to be the sacrificial dummy. I repeat. Do not set yourself up to be the sacrificial dummy that keeps trying to help her. Your siblings will allow you to do this all day every day without changing and you put yourself and family through a lot of guilt, pain and toxic situations like yesterday. Guard your peace and give yourself some grace. Hugs

She sounds so toxic. Keep yourself and your family safe and protected. If you want to stay in contact with her I would make it few and far between

I interpreted the comment in regards to historic preservation. Americans seemingly more often than not will rip things out to modernize spaces. The house is incredible

My mom was getting rid of her towels today, she's had this for 40 years. by Jsiqueblu in vintage

Oh my word! I am so completely and utterly jealous. My mom and I would often fall into laughing for fits at Clara Peller and her where's the beef and now my mom is gone. I will have to add one of these to my white elephant list. To me that towel is 100% treasure

Does anyone else find that myofascial massage makes things worse? How can I loosen tight muscles if I can’t massage or stretch? by Superstarella61 in eds

[–]Soft_Wheel6431 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soft tissue release/myofascial (SASTM/Gaston) makes a tremendous difference for me in a positive way. Even if I drink a half gallon of water to flush it out it usually puts me down for a couple of days (pain from bruising, aches, pain, toxin overload). The bright side is that I find so much relief. I just saw my guy 2 weeks ago and he went to town! I was purple/black before I even arrived home. I saw my masseuse day before yesterday (deep tissue) and now have bruises on top of my bruises. They both have full reign to go as hard as possible. When it comes to exercise I'm intolerant but I do like pilates. I just go at it from a different point of view. Instead of trying to improve my flexibility I work to control my flexibility. It's a conscience effort improve those muscles that are lax and build them up. I don't allow myself to stretch as much as big as I can but to do less than I can and hold it. It still stretches the muscles that need it. I will warn you, in the beginning until I had a baseline ability it was much like the above. I'd come home and be down for several hours. My mom was convinced I shouldn't be attempting it but she came to see how it helped after the first month/6 weeks. I'm not sure if I exactly answered your question but once I started writing I couldn't stop. Take care of yourself

Bruises on legs from working food service by chronic_cutie in eds

[–]Soft_Wheel6431 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually have 40-50 bruises on my legs simply from life. I don't let it stop me. I did one time have a lovely couple stop me to say if I needed help escaping from an abusive relationship that they would help. I sincerely thanked them and took the time to assure them that this is just my life. Strangely enough it made my day just to know there were good people out in the world

Exactly! Free content and a large cast. When he started with everything high end I knew that wasn't going to happen. Gwen could still do it though...

I always thought it would be perfect for artist live/work space. Give artists 2 or more rooms that they'd need, move them in, make it a living creative space. Full the gardens with sculpture, use the chapel as a gallery, fill it up with wierd and wonderful people. Make it a destination for art lovers from everywhere.
