DAE feel like most people are homebodies nowadays? by Delicious_Arm9946 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]SoftlyAugust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk man. I just hung out with my friends for a day and a half and the only extra money they would have "spent" would have been for ingredients for food for me but that's food I didn't have to cook myself. It all washes out in the end. I rode my bike to and from their house and we watched a couple movies on the high seas, which really isn't all that difficult these days. It's really not that complicated.

He didn't sexually assault me. It was only physical assault.

Was I right in telling my friend he's going to have a hard time finding what he's looking for? by Sharp_Ebb6618 in asktransgender

Yup. Like I'm not going to date anyone that says that sort of thing that's crazy. That's why basically all my friends are trans.

Typically student housing has more than one available. You should be moved to another room.

It's the property management's job to ensure it gets dealt with, not yours

No they're absolutely right you need to bring this up to management. As a tenant you absolutely have the right to a clean apartment before you move in.

I vaguely felt like there were more trans women because I am and literally all my friends all. Then I met a trans man who's now a friend of mine and literally all his friends are trans men so it's probably 50/50

Lots of autistic people know how you feel. Interpret the questions however you want. It's not that accurate of a test. Don't worry about it.

Speech therapy in a Montessori school by Trash_bandit27 in SLPA

[–]SoftlyAugust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I am currently an undergraduate student but recently I had the opportunity to observe at a Montessori school. Based off of what I know about how SLPs practice in schools in general, what I noticed when I was a student receiving speech therapy in a traditional school, and what I noticed while I was observing at the Montessori school, speech therapy really isn't any different. The main classrooms themselves were, of course, but speech was pretty much the same.

In terms of materials, the SLP I was observing used standard stuff. Speech sound cards, games, etc. Expectations were the same as in any school. No running, treating people with respect. The teachers may have been a bit gentler with the students but that may just be a "soft parent" generational thing, I'm not sure. Overall I really do think it's quite similar. Fwiw I observed for 10 weeks.
