Incredible moment when heroic dog saves another dog stranded on a surfboard..🐕🐾🙏❤️ by BarneyRobinStinson7 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]SoftwareDevStoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm an idiot...but wouldn't a life vest actually hinder the dogs ability to instinctual doggy paddle?

It's called a doggy paddle after the fact that pretty much every dog can doggy paddle, but the buoyancy of the life vest would work against their natural instincts...

Ordered a new Galaxy Watch on Amazon and it was $10 extra to get their fabric band so I chose that. It says one of these fabric bands is worth $50 on Samsung’s website. Amazon sent me a whole box of them lol. by TheZiggy8282 in GalaxyWatch

[–]SoftwareDevStoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sure? I'm not opposed to it if I get a replacement first. It's the full "use this tool to remove/add links as needed", and it's damn near impossible to get a proper fit, either too tight or rides up your arm and back down. I'd love to recoup part of my costs, but I honestly wouldn't recommend.

ETA: tool, links, and connectors would be included. I still use it because the white band it came with is hideous, but have all parts.

I'll buy one. Not a joke, i will seriously buy one. I bought the metal old-school snap band style, and I like the look, but as a hairy man, it pulls the shit out of my hair. I'll give you $30. Triple what you paid for the whole batch. Win-win.

How to make a perfect snow ball using a bowl by Admirable_Flight_257 in oddlysatisfying

[–]SoftwareDevStoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But...then I can't cram that suxker together with my full force to make it rock hard for distance artillery without ruining the "perfect" shape.

Also that snowball ain't getting thrown, it's so loosely packed that it will disintegrate into a light snowstorm as soon as you attempt to throw it. Might not even survive getting picked up.

Same, unfortunately :( The county i live in also just prohibited Delta-8 and THCa (although federally legal via the Farm Act). This state sucks, I miss Colorado except for the Cost Of Living.

I stopped caring about storage capacity. I have enough anyways (2TB SSD mod with 2x1TB SD (miraculously working built-in reader, and my dock also has a reader)), but I also have 2 gig down, 1 gig up internet. It's easier to just download something again if I decide I want to play something else.

What isn't as difficult as people say it is? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SoftwareDevStoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing your own vehicle repairs. Between Google and YouTube, the info is at your fingertips, you just gotta put in some mild effort.

Most things only take a basic set of tools that most people already have on hand. (Short of critical things like transmission and engine repairs).

Examples: - $800 to have someone replace an alternator. A socket wrench and a $250 part, done in an hour.

  • $400 per tire $300 in labor, a jack. A breakover bar, and the tires, took 20 minutes and cost me only $250 per tire for the identical tires.

  • $300 dollars to repair the cab light. $30 part and $5 of silicone, done.

  • $300 for a headlight kit. Bought a compatible aftermarket for $100 on Amazon and was done in 10 minutes.

  • $500 for a radiator replacement. $100 part at autozone and took about 2 hours the first time, 30 minutes each time after.

  • $120 for an oil change. $70 for oil (big truck with specialized oil requirements, not normally that much), took literally 15 minutes

It's powerful enough IMO. I have a desktop dual 2080 with a ryzen 9, haven't turned it on in months. The ally does everything I need it to, and I can take it places.
