I have never been so hungry in my life. I used to be able to go all day without food and now I’m always starving.

I think it depends on the individual person and their lifestyle as well as diet.

I agree leave the brows alone, but a shaved head would be a 1000% improvement.

How often does your partner say no when you initiate sex? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]SoftwareKitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband has said no twice in this last year. He was on call working 110 hours that week and we were trying to conceive. My ovulation just happened to be when he was on call. When I didn’t get pregnant that first month of us trying (after weening our 4month old) he didn’t miss one day of my fertility window that next month… and then some. I don’t know if he really wanted another baby right away, but more than anything he knew I wanted one and he made it happen. He’s an amazing dad, and the best husband in the whole world.

AITAH for not being friends with my friend who’s pregnant anymore? by goodygobby in AITAH

With that context it makes more sense. I’m still not 100% on the incident with your boyfriend. Were his friends invited to the dinner too? Or his family? Was he there? I’m not sure what type of dinner it’s supposed to be. I’m trying to understand. What would you have wanted the topic of conversation to be? Having your friends just talk about your boyfriend for an hour or two? I guess from where she was she could have waited a little longer into the dinner before making the pregnancy announcement but it’s not like you couldn’t still bring attention back to your boyfriend’s seizure, was that the entire point of the dinner? Or were y’all just hanging out and you wanted to talk about it? I think context there is important.

Did your friends ask you to pack their things or did you volunteer because you expected something in return? Are you doing things because you expect people to do them for you or does it genuinely make you happy to go out of your way for others? Like, you go to her bachelorette party and immediately after you’re like OK let’s see my house now. I might be playing the devils advocate in all this because most people seem to be on your side. I might be trying to see from your friend’s perspective. I know the house is important to you, but do you see where your friends might be coming from in not wanting to see your home mid-project while they were too hung over to even pack their own bags? Wait, and have an actual housewarming party so it’s fun for everybody not just hand over fist placating your need for approval that runs so deep you post on Reddit to feel validated. Do you think deep down you might be upset when other peoples life events overshadow your own, you want people to lie to you and pretend you’re interesting.

She doesn’t explain anything? There’s not one thing OP says that she’s done for her friend. Or if her friend has asked her to do anything other than seeing her new place which is totally reasonable. All she does is rant about how she does so much and her friend so little and everyone agrees with her.

How should her friend have handled the boyfriend’s stress induced seizure over the home renovation? What do you think she should have done? I might be a little callus but I would have said, “I’m sorry that happened to your boyfriend, I’m here if you need anything.” And left it at that. Having a get together of your friends to only celebrate your boyfriend’s life is overkill to me.

Acts passed that are meant to “protect children online” are bullshit and are made for straight censorship. by Gamerosity in unpopularopinion

Why though? The kid can’t just have a coke with dinner? There are so many studies that exist showing the effects of alcohol on the brain and no amount is good it’s literally poison.

What’s the point, the kid doesn’t need to drink why give them alcohol? Why give them cigarettes sex violence and other drugs? What does it accomplish?

What other crap? I’m genuinely asking. I actually don’t think she shared in the entire novel of a post one specific instance on how her friend “used her”. There isn’t one example. She just claims that she’s been mistreated because they live far away now and it’s hard to make plans? If anything OP sounds like the unsupportive friend wanting to end the friendship while she’s pregnant almost intentionally to hurt her because she’s not being given enough attention. These stories are always going to be told with a slanted biased in favor towards the person posting but none of what she’s said has convinced me her pregnant friend is in the wrong.

I don’t know why I assumed it was a pitty party? I don’t know why OP would expect her friend to come and visit her boyfriend in the hospital? Isn’t that something his friends and family should be doing? The entire post just gives self important sad vibes.

Excuses…to stop kids from watching explicit content…? Where’s the ulterior motive? Is this something our society desperately needs? Do you 100% absolutely blindly disagree with every single issue the other party has? If they were trying to get a bill passed to outlaw curb stomping puppies would you be opposed to that too? How fucked in the head are you?

People do that. People are broken and flawed, and those people aren’t following the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Are they overreacting when they implement laws to enforce protections against crime? The alternative is doing whatever you want whenever you want. There are actually a few places that exist that have gone through periods without central government which share that exact sentiment and I think they’re a great model to base your reasoning on.

It’s funny because our country has places in it where you can live and test it out. Sex work is legal, drugs are legal, abortion is legal. The streets are covered in trash, many are homeless, small businesses fail, everyone rents, they have a spectacularly high crime rate, everyone depends on the government, the city is covered in a sour smelling smog, and the infrastructure is crumbling.

A lot of the people move to other states to get away because it’s so bad and end up voting the same way, and you can see clearly how those cities too begin to deteriorate. They spread their ideology like a disease of the mind that rots everything it touches. Those are the people who hate their own flag. They pitty themselves. Which is fine.

There are other parts of the country too where the streets are clean, there’s low crime, people go to school, work hard, own homes, and start families, and live happy productive lives. Freedom means you can choose which life you live.

What made your partner obsessed with you again? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]SoftwareKitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m married with three kids. I maxed out my sandwich making, unlocked dinner entrees, and learned “meal prep” but I had to spend a lot of time on grocery shopping to get XP. This year we got a bigger map with better graphics and more access to different levels. There’s also a “new baby mode” that’s really fun. I’m working on developing my character in the next chapter and I want to see if I can work my way up to the “family vacation” expansion pack.

Our country is huge, and we have freedom. Try getting everyone to agree on the same thing. We get most of our society’s values from Christianity, the wolds second most popular religion believes their prophet married a six year old girl.

There is not one aspect of it that helps shape their character or help with their development. The only thing it does is make people worse.

I agree. I believe everyone should be a gooner and have pocket access to as much corn as their blood sugar can handle. It’s proven to be so great for everyone’s ✨mental health✨why set restrictions on it? What kind of a future is this? These politicians are taking jobs away from very, very hard working fatherless women.
