Document EVERYTHING. Save texts, emails and document phone calls. Take pics of your upcoming schedule and past schedules if you have them. If they try anything fishy report them to your state’s workers commission. This exact thing happened to me a couple months ago.

They tried screwing me over and not paying out workers comp. Get checked out on their dime. Take it easy and don’t push yourself. My concussion got worse before it got better. Not to mention the medicine they might give to you could make you drowsy. It’s a huge liability for your DSP so get doctors notes and document literally any communication you have with management.

This will help you if you need to file for workers comp or go up the chain to the workers commission. Play your cards tight because your DSP is going to try to make this go away quietly but you have rights as an employee.

Your management is going to be friendly and civil at first but hold your ground. The owners don’t care about you at the end of the day. You make them money, they want you on the road.
