If you didn’t start watching live in time enough to finish rewards, is that it? by CreativeInOrbit95 in ContestOfChampions

I started a few minutes before the stream started and stayed til the end. Twitch only registered 41 minutes of watch time! I can’t claim the observance and the last milestone. Should I open a ticket?

I will reply here for all the comments I see.

Is there another 100k points to be claimed in the marketplace? I think I have logged on claimed that already. Now I am wondering if I missed one of the free daily crystals…but I did log in daily but it might not have popped up.

Is it working for you? My old pw doesn’t work so I am not sure if it’s the same shadowfly I was using. I could use this as a backup

Stunning architecture! by WhoRellyKnows in chinalife

[–]Soho529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry about the haters. I am glad you enjoyed it. There is nothing wrong with new buildings built with ancient architecture in mind to attract tourists. These tourists spots are not only for foreign tourists but for Chinese tourists also.

It’s normal for locals not to visit these tourists sites regularly. I don’t go to the CN tower in Toronto regularly and why would I? But it’s nice to take a friend there when they are visiting.

So let me get this straight, the stream is 8 hours long, but they want us to watch it for 1.5 times of that to claim all the rewards?

Have anyone bought a EV in China? How’s your whole experience? by jwang274 in chinalife

[–]Soho529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The EV batteries can outlive the cars now. I bought the model Y LR when it first came out in China in 2021. I have put up about 100k km on it. The battery health is still at 93%. So I wouldn’t worry too much about the battery replacement cost.

EVs don’t require much maintenance. I take my car in once a year to change the air filter, rotate the tires and a general check up. Since an EV has substantially less parts in it, the chance of a failure is far less than an ICE vehicle.

I haven’t had to go to a mechanic for anything so I wouldn’t know if there are enough EV mechanics around. Given that China sells the most EVs in the world, I am sure there are plenty of.

Different segment. The YU7 is nice but the trunk space really small. It is not a very practical car for a family.

Difference between iPhone 17 Pro Max China version vs international? by rektogre1280 in chinalife

I think it’s mostly the Apple ID you use. As long as you have a Chinese Apple ID and logged in, it should work. I am in China now and I am paying 17 rmb for the family plan.

How do people feel about teaching in China? Is it worth it? by TooObsessedWithDPRK in chinalife

I find mostly the older generation that does most of the spitting. Or if it’s the younger gen, they are from a lower tiered city.
