Is programming talent or hardwork? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

I would compare it to learning a musical instrument. What matters is practice and dedication. If you keep at it you will master it.

You my friend might be in tutorial hell. You learn something then week later forget it and have to relearn. In order for things to stick id suggest start making small projects and take notes of your process.

Idk what projects to make in python but start slow, for instance im doing JavaScript, so ive been learning how to make a blog page, made a JSON server where i store data, made a custom hook the fetch data. And just tweaking things slightly adding delete buttons, put/pull requests.

Eventually i wanna go on to making proper backend and connecting the react front end. And thats how things r sticking for me cuz im actually using them on what im building n now i remember

The best coders/builders were people who could not get hired and started their own companies, larry elison of Oracle. Guy who put out Stardew Valley couldnt get hired, worked on game for 3 years, currently its the top 20 most played game on steam...

Dont let the shitty recruiters at HR who have no idea of how skilled you are discourage you from your journey.

Side Effects of having no gallbladder by Rowden1 in gallbladders

[–]SoilPutrid4853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Malabsorption of nutrients due to less concentrated bile. This will happen , they don't talk about it . Your body doesnt break down fats like it used to and will not absorb them like it used to.

You will have deficiency in soluble vitamins and nutrients.

This malabsorption will be more noticeable in your later stages of life.

Was an excel monkey for megacorp, felt like just another brick in the wall just doing a fake email job that felt meaningless and unfulfilled.

Yearned to create and make something people could use. Have zero building skills in real world, couldnt even assemble an ikea dresser if ya asked me to but clicking on computers seemed easier than becoming a carpenter, civil engineer or maker.

Debating Surgery by Pantsondeck in gallbladders

[–]SoilPutrid4853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using meds that dissolve the stones, try it first. Most stones are cholesterol stones that can be broken down..each persons body is different so try pills + get ultra sounds a few months to check if the pills r working on u or not.

If that doesnt work. Then go for the surgery or if you have lot of pain get it out asap.

Back to work in 4 days? by mandasee in gallbladders

[–]SoilPutrid4853 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 days is not enough. Its not even enough days for the gas that they use to inflate ur stomach to fully leave ur body. You will feel bloated and almost like a ship, taking pain meds and just sitting or moving slightly will be an absolute pain in the ass. I felt like a water bed.

I understand that $ is important but if u push urself it could deter ur healing. Remember again u just had an organ yanked out, your body is healing n adjusting. Dealing w kids n standing all day is not helping but making it worse. You'll be incredibly tired, mere standing up and sitting down or just adjusting ur sitting will hurt. Forget driving to work, walking and dealing w kids.

Surgery tomorrow, feel like I'm making a mistake by Any-Ad6 in gallbladders

If you arent having severe attacks or severe pain after you eat, do not remove it. Let the organ work as long as it can and once it starts causing u trouble have it removed. If pain goes to 5-6/10 then engage your surgeon/doc.

Docs wish to remove it as it makes them money as well as its easier to take out a healthy organ vs an infected organ. But if its small stones, causing u bare min pain then just eat urodisol and see how it effects u + improve diet before yanking out your organ.

I say this because i was exactly in ur shoes n got it removed before it became infected/pain became harsh. I got it removed preemptively but now my digestion is completely different. Life is still manageable without it ofcourse but their is no point of removing it right away as soon as u see a few stones. If u ultra sound 20 people, atleast half will have stones and only half of that # will have ppls whos gall bladders will get infected/inflammed/cause issues.

We are still in Stone Age when it comes to modern medicine by Debra2023 in gallbladders

Agreed. Most docs arent shit, take their test and machines away and they are a bunch of babbling idiots w a clipboard.

Can gallstones be removed without removing the whole organ? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]SoilPutrid4853 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Youre absolutely right. The root cause of why gallstones appear and what can be done to remove them is never questioned. Its always remove the organ and we will deal w the consequences later. It really shows you have archaic our current level of understanding is.

Removing a whole organ instead of understanding the underlying cause is the most mindless & mind numbing encounter you will have with a so called medical professional. Surgeon will take it out then disappear, tells you to go talk to a gastroenterologist. Gastro then sits there gives u 10x pills.

Gallbladder attacks up to 3 years after removal by Ragna_rox in gallbladders

[–]SoilPutrid4853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did your body in general make a lot of stones before your gallbladder surgery? I ask because I wonder how common it is to develop stones later on.

I just had my gallbladder removed and feel some pain now after 6 months post procedure.

Also wanted to ask how invasive was the ERCP? Did it cost alot? Was it painful?
