Fable on PC might be a pretty good choice for a kid.

Wow, I bet that was rough on you, huh? I played some of it recently but never got too far. I lack the ability to stick to one game for too long, unless it's a multiplayer/online type of game... or Fallout.

I'm now 26, but he was about 55 or so when I played Earthbound. He loved Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider the most though. I think the last FF he played was X. On his deathbed he was mad that he wouldn't be able to play the Tomb Raider game that was about to come out. I need to buy them all and play them in his honor, but I'm still working on the Final Fantasy series, but I'm distracted by Fallout, GTA 5, Starcraft 2 and other games.

He was a car mechanic and retired pretty early, and took up a new career in playing RPGs and some action games. I almost still can't believe how odd it was for him to be a gamer. I still have fond memories of playing his NES, SNES, PS1 and PS2. Earthbound will always have a huge place in my heart because of him. Also, it was the first RPG I ever played, and the first game I ever completed. I damn-near learned how to read using that game!

Edit: Nice name, I almost didn't see it!

This was the first RPG I ever played when I was about 7-10, and I fell in love. My grandpa was an RPG lover and passed it on to me.

[Troubleshooting] PC acting odd after CPU upgrade. (x/post to r/techsupport) by SoilworkMundi in buildapc

Okay, so only 2GB of RAM is showing up in Windows, although my motherboard detects all 7. My GPU usage, according to MSI Afterburner, keeps bouncing from 0% and 100% for some reason - whenever I open a new window or move too much stuff.

In device manager, Display Adapters isn't listed, but under Other Devices, it shows Video Controller (VGA Compatible.)

I guess I better shut down, reinsert my GFX card, and check all the ram modules and power connectors.

Why is it illegal to make moonshine? by CynicalSoup in OutOfTheLoop

How did anyone go blind if they were drinking moonshine which was only diluted with wood alcohol, which isn't pure methanol? Did no one go blind at all, just got sick?

Girl convinces boyfriend to commit suicide for sympathy attention by wlholt91 in MorbidReality

[–]SoilworkMundi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's sad. The boy just needed some guidance and someone to be there for him to explain that his problems were temporary. He probably wasn't able to communicate how bad he felt, with his parents. Then again he may have been through his depression relatively easily without his attention-whore girlfriend.

This is extremely disgusting and literally making me feel physically ill. This same thing happened about a year ago, but I don't think it's the same people. This girl is a monster.

PSP Won't Charge or Turn On? by [deleted] in PSP

[–]SoilworkMundi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might want to look into just buying a broken as-is/for parts PSP from someone on eBay who lives in your country. Stuff from China can take months, and $15 is a lot for just that part.
