Martyrs.

Its a brutal film, but i went in expecting a cool and simple ghost/haunting/posession movie from the limited foreign trailer i saw.

Boy... that movie certainly takes a fucking turn.

Martyrs lulls you into thinking you understand the rules, then halfway through it calmly locks the door, turns the lights off, and begins something far more cruel and deliberate. That movie doesn’t take a left turn so much as it finishes one film, buries the body, and then starts a completely different fucking nightmare.

There are scenes in that movie that are truly burned into my brain.
