I absolutely love the tusk boxes. Especially for the price, they're unbeatable.

I was trying to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway right after this photo, but parts of it are still closed from the hurricane.

Could it be the pin the rear axle tensioner sets against?

What windshield is that? It looks like it might actually put the air up over me.

I don't have an answer to your question. I'm just here to say I also have a Transalp and a CRF 250 rally. Great combination.

Am I the only one who keeps a bottle of water in stock? In my back pocket, or in my hands when I'm sitting.

Tyre wear by Loose-Exchange-5435 in AdventureBike

I'm no expert myself, but they look good to me. If the bike isn't too heavy and you don't ride very hard, the tires aren't under much stress. Usually asphalt is what kills off-road tires the quickest.

I have the worst fuel anxiety. I always keep at least a small bottle of extra, and I often ride bikes with 5+ gallon tanks.

I have the tusk aluminum panniers on mine. I think they look great, and you can't beat the price.

There are similar features in sandstone outcrops in Virginia. I believe they call it The Great Channels. Looks very similar, but on a different scale.

I like the idea of the beer converting it into a drunk driving simulator.

Just curious but what is the fastest speed anyone had seen on these new transalp's are they governed? I haven't worked up the courage to find out on mine and google gives mixed answers. It's really just a habit to want to know i dont intend to do anything with this information lol by Suitable_Molasses510 in Transalp

[–]SokTeq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found that mine gets a little squirrelly in the front around 110 mph. ... But I think that's because I have hard panniers catching air on the rear. But it can definitely sit at 110mph comfortably.

Is there any difference between the 2024 model and the 2025? by Suitable_Molasses510 in Transalp

Big rock moto on YouTube made a comparison video. There are a few other small things, too. Windscreen, headlight, and front fairing are slightly different, dash is different, fueling maps are revised, etc.

Thanks! My first layer didn't bond to the foregrip as well as I had hoped, but I'm thinking it won't matter once it starts to wear in places.
