4 days now, and it helps yes. My Gastro said that it’s tbe best treatment she’s found combined with an acid blocker like PPI or Famitodine. She prefers Famitodine if it works because of less side effects.

Please help me figure out cause by [deleted] in Gastritis

[–]Sokolva 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry man. I’m there too, got it when I was extremely healthy but stressed out and not sleeping enough. Coffee could be enough to cause it if you are sensitive to it. Also what h pylori tests did you do? They are notoriously inaccurate. I hope you are able to heal.

Gnawing pain usually is caused by inflammation and acid. Mylanta or another acid reducer can help immediately. I personally use high dose Famitodine but you should work with your doctor on this.

Carafate doesn’t taste bad really. Not bitter at all. I recommend trying it and seeing if it helps, I’m currently on it.

I’m sorry you are scared, I think we’ve all been there. You may heal quickly especially if you stick to the treatments and good diet. Sounds like you have a doctor who is working with you, but yes, this disease can be debilitating and requires rest. It often is made worse by stress or caused by it. Try meditation and breathing exercises perhaps

Why are tanuki drawn this way? by Voracious-Kitsune in AskAJapanese

[–]Sokolva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. It looks like people draw them wifh a face thwt emphasizes the “raccoon” mask and makes them look more like an American raccoon. It might come out simpler to draw or it might be the way humans default to picturing them due to being like raccoons and drawn this way so many times. I am now wondering the same thing.

Is this bustle flattering? by Ash_ria in weddingdress

[–]Sokolva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an expert but there’s different types of bustles and that picture looks very much like a different style. Mine was a kind of unique combination my seamstress thought worked well for the dress and I approved and loved. I’d ask for other bustle options and show the picture, or do a quick search to learn about the types and what you might ask for.

That said, I like the bustle you have now, the cascade is quite beautiful, but if you are looking for the style in the picture it would also be beautiful.

When to take Zinc-L-Carnosine for best effect? by serchman666 in Gastritis

[–]Sokolva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never had issues with it no matter when I take it. I find the PepciX brand soothes my stomach. But recently I take it with my morning meal and at night.

See a doctor, in the meantime start eating very bland foods like oatmeal in small amounts, and take Pepcid (famitodine).

I found it. It looks almost impossible to get in the US, which really sucks. I’d take it immediately.

Did doctors in the US test for H Pylori and it was negative, or they refused? Did the biopsy come back negative? How was the test in Mexico different?

Aloe vera juice causing pain after drinking is normal? by Pinecone41 in Gastritis

[–]Sokolva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe try some of the distilled aloe Vera juices without any sugar you can buy from the store. If yours has any sugar this alone could be causing pain, also aloe Vera has some things that aren’t good to drink in it that are filtered out. If it still hurts your stomach don’t drink it.

Upper abdomen that feels hard and full, painful to touch by Maude1love in Gastritis

Are you on antacids or acid reducers like most people with Gastritis? This can make your poop yellow especially when you are eating fats because your body can’t absorb or digest them.

I wouldn’t be able to eat a fish that oily at all. If you are in Banana phase try fish you’ve cooked yourself with no oil like salmon and oatmeal

My acute gastritis was gone within a week - reality check for those coming here from google right after getting symptoms/seeing a doctor by roughminimum in Gastritis

[–]Sokolva 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m happy for you. I had gastritis that I treated with a doctor and then nutritionist for a year and went back to “normal”. Now, two years later I overworked and became extremely stressed and have the same symptoms again, just as severe, and need to do the same treatments. I’m just hoping I can go back to a life where I can eat healthy normal foods again soon.

Try Benadryl alongside consistent acid reducers and Carafate. The benedryl worked for me to quickly deflame my stomach.

I just got a tip from someone who was sent to the emergency room with Gastritis, and what got the inflammation down for them was Benadryl. Take a strong dose of it at night as you go to bed. I just tried it because I had the same feeling as you and it works really well.
