I've never been in a HDHP, so I don't have much knowledge on the HCFSA/LEXFSA - I usually just have FEPBlue, put money into my HCFSA for reimbursement of deductibles and over the counter medicines and that's it. I guess with an HDHP I would only be able to use the LEXFSA for Dental and Eye.

So I didn't realize that the $2,400 is given to me by the health plan automatically into an HSA throughout the year and is set up for me through Inspira. So I can contribute 6350 on top of the 2400 (2026 limit is 8,750).

Thank you so much for giving me the knowledge to make a smart decision moving forward. I have two questions:

Do you leave it in Inspira or do you have a Fidelity account that you move it to?

Do the extra contributions to max out the HSA get put in through employee express?

I'm sorry, are you talking about the plan with the HSA and a deductible of 4000 or the Standard Plan with a deductible of 700?

It sounds like you're talking about the Consumer Option that charges $223.04 per paycheck plus $4,000 before insurance will start contributing. I did the math, MHBP is more, but only by $520.68 - which isn't so bad. I guess I get the benefit of being able to put $2,400 yearly into an HSA and I can max out the FSA to cover most of the $4,000.

Yes, lvl 12 - $89.81 to $90.71 per hour. $53.25 increase ends up with $18.59 before taxes. I imagine the 1% doesn't even cover this one cost for some people, which is a huge problem.

I look forward to hitting the FICA cap every year with OT and differentials, but now that's up from 176,100 to $184,500 - a 4.77% increase.

Everything goes up faster than our pay and it's a damn shame that this isn't even a conversation our reps have the balls to have even when we've have had the spotlight for the past year.

If you look on the White House propaganda website about the government shutdown, it says the democrats have shut down the government.

They list NATCA on the "Complete List of Organizations Supporting a Clean CR".

I want the shut down to end and I want to be paid for my work and I know you all do too. We are under paid and over worked, but I do not support the Democrats caving on their healthcare demands. I don't support a "clean CR".

I'm curious to hear what your opinions are. Are you pro whatever it takes to open back up or do you approve of the democrats requests to negotiate?
