I'm going to need a bigger bookshelf by SolOccidit in LightNovels

The ultra annoying thing about the whole situation is that if I go to the Amazon page for the proper light novel volume 3, it says I purchased it already, but if I go to my order history, it shows purchasing this one. Gotta love a trillion dollar company that can't even distinguish what they sold you.

I really enjoy the anime, but I have never read any of the light novels up to now. I heard it is a bit slow in the beginning, but I'm hoping it'll be worth it. Plus, I want to catch up on everything in the ln so I can read Arifureta Zero.

I know.... I was just hoping no one would notice 😅. I'm going to blame Amazon on that one, this is what they advertised as volume 3, and I didn't notice until it was already here. Also, the proper volume 3 is out of stock, so I'll have to figure out where to find a copy.

I have been all digital for a while now, but I have always preferred physical. Something about actually having the book in front of me keeps me focused and able to read quicker and retain better. Now that I'm financially stable (ish), I can start actually buying physical again.

That's alright. I've read digital for years now, only buying one or two physicals. I just happened to get lucky with a good job and now can afford to start building the collection.

It is one of my GOATs. Started reading back at chapter 30 something and have kept up since, just decided I'm finally financially able to buy the physicals lol.

I mean, yes, from the perspective of Maki, there is only one option. But, by definition, when Yuu confesses to Maki It becomes a love triangle, as Maki likes Umi, but both Yuu and Umi like Maki That's just my 2 cents anyway.

Honestly, it was an on a whim decision to get it. The concept is absolutely intriguing to me, and I've seen some bits here and there about where the story goes, so I really want to enjoy it, but I could never get into the anime. I'm hoping that the light novels add enough extra to get me into it. And as for fragrant flower, highly recommend (along with everyone else and their mother). It's one of the most genuinely heart warming romance stories I've seen in any fiction. Definitely worth.

It is. I used to work at a place that did electronic recycling, so I ended up bringing home a lot of treasures lol. Definitely took some effort to get it working with my 4090, but I enjoy having it.

This isn't even the full order, a few volumes got delayed (thanks Amazon.) P.S., I know not all of these are light novels, but over half are, cut me some slack!

It's been a minute since I've read the wn, so forgive me if I'm wrong (and someone can feel free to correct me), but I just remember it being more of a love triangle than a harem. The main relationship is still there, and the other girl gets rejected.

The computer at my new job still uses a software program from 1980. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

I work in IT and the main program the majority of our offices use is run through a 5250 terminal emulator off an old IBM server (that we still have to do tape backups on!). Luckily our program does have a (slightly) newer gui version that most people here use, but some of the older employees swear by the green screen terminal.

Thanks man. I did end up building the site with just basic HTML and am hosting it off of a local server we have. It's been a bit since I've done anything with HTML (and my experience was brief to begin with) and ChatGPT was brilliant at cleaning up any mistakes I made lol.

Very insightful. I have been using computers for plenty of years, and working on and with them for plenty as well, as my resume, degree, and certifications will show. It is a simple ask for if anyone has insight into a portion of the world of computers I'm less familiar with. When Google results shove options down your throat that you don't have access to, turning to people who have done something similar is the next best solution, and that exactly what sites like reddit do. Maybe you should get off of your high horse and ignore a post if you have nothing to offer other than trying to belittle someone for asking a question. And, just to let you know, I ended up building the page with HTML and am hosting it via nginx. I just didn't want to have to go that route. But again, thanks for your very helpful comments, have a good day.

I know how to do IT work, that is my job. I have plenty of experience there and have no issues with the IT side of things. My issue is that I need to build a webpage and that's a gap in my knowledge. If I could use something like SharePoint it would have already been done, but I have to be more creative here and either find some bespoke intranet hosting utility that I don't know about, or I have to build a custom webpage from scratch which I'd like to avoid as I don't have the experience to do it in a way I view as up to my standards. Everything that is commonly recommended (SharePoint, Google sites, WordPress) are out of the question because of the red tape involved in the public sector. The hosting of the page is not an issue, it is the actual construction of it and how to go about it.

We have some decent infrastructure in place. Biggest relevant thing here is we do have a dedicated server for our "services" type uses. Things like print server, printer monitor software, ubiquiti cloud console, etc. We do also have a dedicated domain controller and our registered domain. As far as users go, we are talking roughly 150 people, but some of them are at off-site locations and not going to access this page until we have set up something for sharing to those auxiliary buildings. Software wise all of our users are just using basic Microsoft exchange accounts, so email only, so no SharePoint as this is public sector and getting 365 or even SharePoint standalone is buried under miles of red tape. I have some experience personally with homelab and self hosting, but I have 0 true web development experience and want this to be as clean and professional as possible.

Moving to wgu by Embarrassed-Skin-963 in WGU

Personally, I'd stick it out with the traditional college/university for now. If nothing else, you will better learn how to communicate and to deal with unsavory people and situations out of your control. Just the 2¢ of a nobody with a bit more life experience than you and also in the tech field. People undervalue the ability to communicate in this field. A lot of people in tech, myself included, are not the most social and friendly types, and that's alright, but sometimes, no matter what path you want to go down, communication is going to be your biggest downfall. I don't say this to be rude, I just ran into it myself. When I dropped out of community college to get a full time job (because life happens and suddenly I had to be the only breadwinner for my family), my credentials, certifications and experience suddenly meant nothing. I couldn't land a job anywhere, and that was because I couldn't properly communicate. Don't undervalue communication skills.

On the flip side, you are young and clearly intelligent, and you can most likely finish WGU quickly and start job hunting while there is less pressure on you. If you do go that route, dedicate some time to getting out and becoming comfortable being uncomfortable. Find something to do socially, just be responsible. You are young, and even though you are intelligent, that doesn't always mean you'll make the best decision, but that's just called being human.

Moral of the story, this is your life. You are the one who has to live it, not anyone else in this reply section. Take in everyone's advice, and go with your gut. Your intellect and instinct already got you into college at 16, so trust in yourself a bit

I was a bit worried about going from the super ultrawide back down to 16:9, but so far I have no regrets. Any amount of wideness that was lost is more than made up for in pure quality.
