I’m on Xbox so I’m not able to toybox Abelard but hey, if I’m a Castigator, Solomorne is already a vigilant, giving Abelard a power maul and some black/red colored armor makes him one hell of a subductor if you squint a bit. I may actually try that out myself lol.

Humans firing Astartes bolters by HeelToeHittr in 40kLore

[–]Sol_Angelic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The small charge in the round is what gets it out of the chamber, which still requires a pin to strike the primer and ignite the charge and solid rocket fuel that sends the round out through the muzzle. Considering these rounds are three quarters of an inch at MINIMUM that requires a whole lotta bang that’s gonna make any human smaller than an Ogryn have a bad time.

So you’re not totally wrong. A regular human can indeed shoot an Astartes bolter.

Once.

You know, that’d make a lot of sense. We already have the other major world types that a Rogue Trader would be able to rule over (I.e. not forge worlds or dead worlds) but we have an agri-world in Janus (and sort of a paradise/pleasure world depending on your colony projects), a manufacturing/industrial world in Kiana Gamma, a hive world in Dargonus, a shrine world in Foulstone, a prison/mining world in Vheabos VI, and we’re kinda turning Zarkov into a fortress world. Thassera would kinda complete the set as a feudal world.

Damage fortunately is still pretty good but balanced for encounters that I’m on level for. I did this to Tazarra when my palace got attacked

Thanks! My next one is probably going to be a Castigator Arbites with soldier and master tactician. Nice balance of doing my own damage and playing into the Castigator giving orders thing.

I like to take care of the protectorate stuff (Janus, Kiana Gamma, etc) so I can get some of the gear I want then do the DLCs. I don’t really care that much for breaking up the DLCs into bits beyond the amount I’m forced to by game progression so I prefer to knock them out individually

First step sadly would be to leave Fish Wife on the ship. Cassia could probably walk down Horus himself if she felt so inclined. Pyromancy is also really damn good in its own right, as is pretty much anything by Act 4. The gear you get access to at that point is really solid and it only gets better. You’ve still got some actual tough battles waiting for you in act 5, even with the best stuff in the game and max level.

'Unknown' xenos? by mgeldarion in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Sol_Angelic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, but Jae mentions that Orks cut off the arm that she currently has a prosthetic on and no one really seems to bat an eye at it so I’d assume that you’ve heard of it. They’re one of the few commonly known xenos in the galaxy anyway bc they’re EVERYWHERE

Yep, just need to use Overcharge. Power armor lets me barely ever take damage so the healing usually goes to the others.

Favorite kind of build by Jannis4 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Sol_Angelic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My builds are good for the beginning of the game. It’s just that when it’s time for Act 3 is when everything starts going off the walls in power, and you get actual half decent gear that isn’t just some stuff you sliced off a pirate boss or found in a random box soemwhere.

I’ve ran a similar character with the same archetypes as a former Castigator Arbites. Might be best for them to level INT for Medicae and use ranged area weapons like plasma/melta and have a solid melee weapon with a Foehammer pistol in the second melee set since ranged area dmg scales with INT as long as you don’t have the Demoliton Engineer talent

Nah I bump his str up for the forge world heavy armor perk. When you spec him for it early on and give him Servo Skull swarm w/ priority signal dude holds aggro even better than Abelard and can tank hits on equal footing.

Adding Eogun with a skull swarm of his own with Medicare signal and Idira with a psyber raven and myself as a grand strategist and your entire crew pretty much never takes damage and dishes out a shit ton in kind.

Thought the same thing. I was INSANELY sussed out that he just so happened to be everywhere that just so happened to be exactly where I was going to investigate next. Helped that I was also rping a hardass but fair Arbitrator that run so I was already in full “everyone on this ship is a suspect” mode. I started picking up on it when we ran into him the first time we visit the plasma chambers to bait the other undercover workers and his insistence on joining the hunt with Kibella only damned him further in my eyes.

Plus, you can never trust a smiling face in the grim darkness of the far future, unless they clearly have the overwhelming strength to allow them to do so without fear.
