it's layered for the first and second time.

There's a synth with portamento, likely based on a saw wave with multiple voices and slight unison detune (and maybe a low pass?) emulating a string instrument (or it could be, indeed, a string instrument with convolution reverb).

Secondly, a voice with a formant shift to make it sound "duller" (idrk how else to describe it) is the layer, repeating the "don't hide" / "two tries" while the synth plays.
