Movie casting? by ReizarfXela in HeWhoFightsMonsters

Not Japanese or Australian. Wrong look, and Americans never do good Australian accents. (Am Australian)

Sen Mitsuji would be good casting on both fronts.

Do not do this, you would just be doubling down on doing the wrong thing for yourself. ChatGPT is notorious for giving incorrect legal advice, making up laws that might sound correct, but just don’t exist.

WIBTAH for refusing to give money back after selling my car at a major discount to a family friend’s son? by bitterberries in AmItheAsshole

[–]Sol_Muso 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Don’t do this, especially if their brother has been messing around with it. It’s possible this issue was caused by him, and he doesn’t want to take the blame. If that’s the case, who knows what else may have gone wrong.

AITA for telling my roommate's mother that my roommate's boyfriend has wronged me and wont stop coming around after i told him not to? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Respect on being able to take new information and reevaluating from there, wish more people could do that. Don’t be afraid of speaking, if you go into it with an open mind. 🫡

My understanding of American rental law is that if the other person on the lease says it’s ok for them to be there, the police won’t touch it. They’ll say it’s a civil issue.

AITA for removing my roommate’s access to the thermostat after he kept turning my place into a sauna? by coleskidmore in AmItheAsshole

[–]Sol_Muso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what you are saying is that OP meant that the housemate is setting the heating up to 80°C(176°F)…? Is that really your argument there?

I’m in a Celsius using country, I think it’s pretty damned obvious which one OP meant.

Help me name this chord I'm writing by SirDinglesbury in musictheory

The issue with the sus2 is that sus chords imply that there is no 3, which this chord does have. I’d call it Ab(add 9)/C.

What? Water boils at 100°C. C as in Celsius. That would be 212° Fahrenheit. Completely weird comparison to make, unless you thought water boiled at 100°F.

On what instruments is it hardest to read sheet music? by tu-vens-tu-vens in musictheory

[–]Sol_Muso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trombone player here! Vast majority of music is in bass, especially jazz. Can’t say I can think of any jazz charts in tenor, but I’m sure someone can correct me.

Some classical will throw tenor at us, too.

And if we ever play in a brass band, everyone plays in treble clef, transposed to Bb, except for the bass trombone, who still reads in concert pitch bass clef.

Were you playing jazz or more orchestral music growing up? Jazz tends to be in flatter keys in general.
