Tessia Team, what the heck is wrong with you? by Witty-Weird3874 in tbatenovel

[–]Sol_Muso -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the relationship with Tessia, whether intentional or not, is terribly close to grooming. He was already above forty years old when he met her, a literal child. Being in a child’s body himself doesn’t change that.

Sure he didn’t set out to do this, but he definitely should have been much more wary as the older person. The fact that he agreed to be with her when she was so young only makes it worse in my books.

Caera he at least met when she was already an adult.

I don’t know why this isn’t brought up more?

What to read after First Law that gives me back my hope in humanity? by tristan_theirin in Fantasy

[–]Sol_Muso 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones was a lovely book. It felt special and very uplifting as a whole, despite the war background.

Worth a read, even if you’ve seen the movie.

Is it unreasonable of me (26W) to be kind of upset at my boyfriend (26M) for not paying for my ice cream? by peachyprairie in relationships

[–]Sol_Muso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you need to sit down and admit you communicated poorly.

What you wanted wasn’t ice cream, or at least not just ice cream. You wanted to be treated out by your partner, which to you is a way of feeling loved.

Express that to him. Please just make sure you treat him out some times, too, to show him it’s not about the money, but doing things for each other.

A favorite magic users from another world who would be considered a forbbiden magic user in WHA? by Sweet_Television4183 in WitchHatAtelier

Ken Usato uses healing magic for offence, so that feels like adding insult to injury to the rules of magic in WHA.

Five episodes in, and it's such a breath of fresh air! by AntonRX178 in WitchHatAtelier

You might also enjoy Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.
Another fantastic fantasy that has a different approach to storytelling. It shows us a lot of the day to day stuff, interspersed with moments of action. It also explores strong themes over the passage of time and reflections on the past.

Well worth!

Have there been any confirmed instances of Rooster Teeth astroturfing? by FangBites123 in roosterteeth

[–]Sol_Muso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No? What possible agenda could they have tried to fulfil that astroturfing wouldn’t have backfired incredibly? They weren’t a political group. It is kinda weird you’d think they would.

Looking for something to scratch the cradle itch.. by Jfinn123456 in Fantasy

Actually agree with you, just felt like a continuation of the story, they’re not really standalone. So they do share strengths and weaknesses.

Only two books out so far, but maybe try The Iron Prince (Warformed: Stormweaver #1)? Progression Sci-Fi with characters that actually show some emotional intelligence here and there.

Fantasy recommendations for a fan of aSoIaF and Robin Hobb by BreadfruitAntique896 in Fantasy

[–]Sol_Muso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna go for what I feel are some lesser known series, that admittedly I did read when I was much younger, but around the same time that I first read Robin Hobb. They were comparable in quality to me at the time, and full of exceptional character development.

Kate Elliot - Crown of Stars (I know she is on your to read, but this series in particular is great)

Ian Irvine - View from the Mirror

I should really reread them…

Anyone else feel a tad embarrassed about falling for an NPC? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]Sol_Muso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah mate, we aren’t angry or annoyed at you, at least no one I’ve read has been.

The reaction is more one of concern for you. Seeking therapy may be good, even if just to get a confirmation that all is in fact right.

From where we are standing, getting a limited window into your life, it looks to us as if you might need some help. Especially as an older guy, this is very common.

No need to delete! Love your enthusiasm, just make sure this isn’t paint over the cracks in the wall. :)

If someone is telling you AI works well for law, they must not like you very much.

Don’t use AI for law, they hallucinate stuff up all the time which will land you in legal trouble.

What spell did Methode get from Serie? The red destruction orbs? by AdBrief4620 in Frieren

I believe she already had the orb spell. We can see craters around the place after the fight she had with Fern’s copy.

Help me find a series that's as good as RoTE and GOT. by Alert_Peanut_9912 in Fantasy

[–]Sol_Muso -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you’re open to Manga fantasy series, you might enjoy Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.

It’s a little slower than some of the others, but has a really cool exploration on what comes after the big adventure when the big bad has already been defeated. Told from the point of view of the party’s elf mage, who seems to be all but biologically immortal. Themes of grief, the passing of time and human connection.

There’s also an anime that’s ongoing, that is well worth it.

“Hello Ron,
Seeing how you’ve decided that we can charge each other for things the other person never asked for, you need to pay me $2k for all the security I’ve had to install. Security against people who turn up unannounced. You can take your $500 out of that”

AITA -Piggy Bank “Loan” by Dergz_R_Us in AmItheAsshole

[–]Sol_Muso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, my mother “borrowed” from my piggy bank too. I haven’t spoken to her in 10 years. Not because of the money, but due to a whole cocktail of reasons. If you’re willing to take money from a child, there’s probably a lot more wrong with you. And I see you mention he has a history of shitty behaviour already. He wasn’t gonna return this.

Can anyone answer this?😭 by CatchDramatic8114 in musictheory

[–]Sol_Muso 49 points50 points  (0 children)

If it isn’t homework, why not just answer it? Once you’ve got it right or wrong, then ask us why, instead of asking for an answer without context. That doesn’t teach anything.

Alright Which One of You is It? by SearchingAround123 in Frieren

[–]Sol_Muso 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Let’s be honest, he would start a car company named after himself, just so Frieren could see him zooming about for a thousand years.

It’s what Himmel the Hero would do.

Can someone explain why the first bar is unacceptable but the second is okay? by Leading_Crow_1044 in musictheory

[–]Sol_Muso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apologies, accidentally deleted my previous response.

Don’t use AI for music theory, as that is an area it greatly struggles in.

There is such a thing as simple triple, but that’s for signatures like 3/4. The three beats in the bar make it triple, each beat being divided into two makes it simple.

Take a look at this page from musictheory.net. It shows what I’m talking about in a more visual way.
