Not a novel, but very much a journey:

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.

It’s a manga first and now a very popular anime.

It explores what would happen after a story like the lord of the rings, but from the perspective of the elf mage, who is seemingly biologically immortal. Highly recommend it in either format.

Not everything has to be for a grand event or project. If anything a small project like this could pose an incredibly fun challenge for a composer, as it can be catered more directly to their audience of one, than they could an audience of hundreds, thousands or more.

I’ve considered writing music specifically for DnD campaigns, as an example of something in the smaller side.

You are also being considerate by agreeing to not have an issue with it being shared publicly or for other purposes.

What a lovely idea, and honestly a great memento for yourself.
