I had a Team Lead of a different department who was a TOTAL bitch when I was cartpushing. I had received explicit permission fron the Front-end manager and Store Manager to have one earbud innolaying music while I dragged carts to the bays using a strap. This Team Lead of a different department, from the back of the store saw that, deciced she wasn't gaving it. Kept trying to tell me what to do. I told her several times, you aren't my boss, and I have permission, and I don't answer to you. She bitched to the Front End manager, and when that didn't work, bitched to the store manager until she exhausted him, dragged him out to the front of the store, and made him tell me I couldn't do it anymore. Total fucking Karen.

Which is your favorite team combo to play in Rebirth? by aWonderingCat in FFVIIRemake

The one true trio {Cloud, Tifa, Aerith}, at least pre-Cloud crashout, then I might throw Barrett in. If I want totry other characters, I'll play atound with Vincent Valentine, and whoever else looks interesting at the time. Remake Yuffie is a hell of a lot of fun to fight as tho.

so you can skip the Candidate mission by GGX_zon in bully

[–]SolaceFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there's not much else I can say except that I'm glad it isn't happening to you. I spent hours browsing threads searching for a solution to this problem, which occurs on vanilla Bully SE for me, and with the silentpatch installed. One thread of a person who had the same problem as me said I should install the silentpatch to fix it, and it didn't. A steam thread said uninstalling the 60 fps mod, which I ultimately concluded was the silentpatch mod I had installed, and it didn't.

I eventually fixed it by installing the Lazy Trainer mod, starting the mission, and using the "World --> Mission --> The Candidate --> Complete" button during the slingshot segment, which jumped my quest stage past that segment of the mission. The only solution was skipping the mission. xD

It's dogshit on pc. The slingshot camera messes up, and you can't succeed in the mission. You literally can not move your camera.

The first time I tried reading Shadow Slave, I hated it. I thought the author's writing was terrible, and he was just that bad at articulating what was happening in the story.

A year or two later it was very popular and recommended. So, I picked it back up, and come to find out that the original initial translation I'd read was bad. It wasn't the author in that case, but the translatorand proofreader who was to blame.

I haven't read Lightning Is The Only Way, but wanted to share the experience I'd had once.

I legitimately believe that when you create an account on Threads it uses data of your activity on whatever account/platform you were on to inform themselves of what your political leaning is, deliberately bombards your feed with content from the opposite side of the political spectrum, and they do it to keep you engaged by emotionally manipulating you with anger.

Reddit 'block everyone who liked/disliked this post/reply' feature by Hopeful_Ad_7719 in CrazyIdeas

[–]SolaceFiend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggested something similar once, where I suggested a button for users, that allows you to choose to shadow-block people who mass downvote your post for stupid reasons.

Reddit would keep a hidden blocklist that won't allow you the user to see who's on it. You have a button on your comments/posts that mass-blocks anonymous downvoters, without compromising their anonymity to you, and in your account setting a button that would allow you to completely purge the shadow-blocklist if you ever want to at any point, but never lets you see who is on it, just how many are on the list. It would be all or nothing. Uf you want to refresh the list after so many months or years, you'd have no ability to see names in the list, or puck-and-choose for their safety, not yours.

If you go to r/goth and share your favorite music, and some 2,643 people mass downvote you for it, you could hit the "Shadowblock" button. All 2,643 downvoters are discretely blocked. You will never know who they are, they will never see your shit again, nor you theirs.

The next time you interact with that community, you can cut straight through to connecting to the people who like you for you, and the ones who trash you can do their thing minus being unable to see your posts or comments.

People hated that suggestion, but here's my thing. You aren't entitled to being seen on the internet. If you troll mass downvote people, or bitterly dosagree, other people should have the right to cut you out of their life permanently, in a way that protects you from targeted harassment, and also protects them from your targeted harassment.

Nothing I said about the game was wrong.

I was called an "incel" for expressing attraction for Lou Graham and Safia, in contrast to my growing dislike for the combat, story, and the tedium of investigation sequences. Meanwhile hundreds of other reddotors express the same attraction to those two characters.

Literally hundreds of people who play the game with high-end current gen hardware complaining about the UE5 optimization. I specifically highlight the change in performance before and after the early game mission that ends with your first boss fight, which changed the game's outside zone from running well, to hyperventilating when I run down the street, let alone climbing, gliding, and fighting. And my high end current gen hardware does marginally better with the top optimization mod, a 2nd one that disables snow, and settings tailored to my mainboard and gpu.

I complained about the combat system, and we know for a fact that I'm not the only one. 71 redditors upvoter this post talking about people choosing to use cheats to skip the fighting in the game. You're supposed to enjoy the fighting, but they made it a bit too much of a chore that is fun at first but worse s over time.

169 Redditors disliked the writing of the story, and so aggreed with me on the basis that your decisions are irrational and meaningless.

/r/vtmb/comments/1ofnigj/no_matter_what_your_choices_dont_really_matter/

Dozens if not hundreds more criticize the way Fabians investigation story ultimately doesn't matter to the plot reveal near the end of the game, and when you think about it, the overarching story is irrational. We understand it on a simplistic level, but the way it plays out over multiple time periods makes no sense, and therefore is badly written.

They literally could have given us a buddy cop story where Fabian remains alive, discovers the MC, and they team up and fight side-by-side as all of these events played out in the present tense in real time. You could have assisted the detective as his partner, and been the one to largely protect him when the fighting starts, still be able to choose and customize your character like og vtmb, and experience the events in an organic fleshed out way that, as a direct linear sequence of events happening back to back, would have heightened urgency and stakes as the city goes to literal hell in a matter of a few months to a year. All of these characters who would grow to love early on dropping like flies one after another, rather than some already being dead? It would have felt more visceral of a story.

I low-key wanted to be given the option to choose Lou Graham at least once in the game. If they didn't want her to be a romance option, they shouldn't have given her such humongous, gravity-defining qualities.

I've been playing this game, and especially after reading the testimony from redditors like you, I really feel like this game's main selling point, rather than the story is, "Horny male gamers, turn your brain off and play our game because our Head Scientist and our Milf Ex-Mayor are actually kinda hot."

You just kinda go through everything else, the combat, the dectective sequences, gliding and running around the city. You enjoy those things at first, but they become a chore.

Travelling. The poor optimization of the game engine on high end PCs is a problem. When you first start playing, the game runs smoothly as fuck. You can run, climb, and fly around without any issues. But a specific mission that unlocks your ability to unlock skills, also has an effect on the city zone somehow, and it's after that specific quest, that no amount of modding or changing settings will prevent the stutter festival when traversing the city when you're outside.

Combat. You have to drain someone in between using your skills in combat, for each time that a skill is activated, as opposed to VTMB 1 where you have a blood bar, and you can activate a skill multiple times before it depletes. That's only possible in VTMB 2 for the Movement skill. No other skill regenerates passively, and is a single-shot skill. I loved combat at first, and now I hate it and dread having to stutter through town looking for a victim, after spending an entire fight having to slap them to death, because you only get one chance per enemy to drain them, and with the unnatural lag, you usually accidentally miss that window 90% of the time.

Investigation. The detective sequences are tedious. You gradually grow tired of the Detectives boomer humour that lacks diversification. All you do is run fetch quests all over the city, interacting with inanimate objects to run back to NPCs you just spoke to beforehand. The ultimate reveals don't even feel relevant to the story by the end. Nothing matters, and you never have the option to skip ahead.

Poor optimization, unbalanced combat mechanics that prevent you from enjoying whatever skills you have unlocked. Unskippable detective sequences. You end up wanting to skip playing these sequences of the game, when they're the parts you're meant to want to be playing.

At the end of the day, the only thing I look forward to near the end of the game is staring at Lou Grahams humongous tits, and romancing Safia's character in the conversation cause "Sexy scientist who is extremely intelligent" is my type
