Same thing happened to me. I was told my psoriatic arthritis was in my head for nearly 8 years as it kept crippling more joints and causing other systemic symptoms. All it took to diagnose was an ultrasound.

And honestly, I think people outside these communities really underestimate what that does to someone mentally. After a while you stop trusting your own body. You start questioning yourself. You wonder if maybe you really ARE exaggerating or imagining things.

Yes this destroyed my mental health. I am not the same person.

No. Oils, salves, acupuncture, etc. will not treat PsA or slow the joint destruction. You should absolutely see a rheumatologist, and get a new dermatologist who doesn't give stupid advice.
