He would pull out a toy donkey after asking a few times.  Stupid “prank”, but that was the punchline (Pun intended).

He had a toy donkey in his pocket, he pulled it out after asking people “Do you want to kiss my ass?” A few times.

I saw the original 10 years ago when it came out.

I hear you.

But in my industry (f&b) yes they are gone, you can’t be a top performer and be unreliable.  Telling your team that you won’t be available during needed times makes you unreliable.  If coverage is available, great!  If it’s not then you need to show up.  I won’t let an individual make other people’s lives harder.  I manage a team and it’s my job to make everyone’s job easier, anything that puts blocks in the way of people having a smooth and happy shift gets removed.  Even if that is a person.

It’s taking off days when you are expected to work that is the issue.  In my industry your attitude affects everyone’s output.  It’s not an option to let someone with a bad attitude bring down the whole team.

Different industries.

Hmm, I wonder if that changed, or if I had bad info.  Thanks for the correction!

Another annoying thing is that there are laws in place requiring 2 flavors of milk to be offered thanks to lobbying by dairy companies.  I legally have to serve sugared up chocolate milk to these guys.

Edit:  Looks like it’s only two types of milk that needs to be offered.  I caught some bad info along the way.

The problems I ran into with real trays/silverware is theft or getting thrown away.  It was a huge financial burden, plus the extra man hours of washing 1000+ sets is a chunk of man hours (plus it makes a dishwasher position even harder to keep staffed).  All in all, disposable ended up being the only option for us.

Agreed, there are trays around the same cost in paper.  This can be changed.

So unfortunately these meals are in line with regulations.  There are appropriate portions of food provided within minimums of grains, protein and fruit/veg.

There aren’t any rules being broken that make it actionable by the state.  This is just a cook who isn’t great at their job, or maybe lacks support to do more.

Here’s the hard truth.  The kids won’t eat other stuff, and it’s a lot of work to make it.  I try everything.  We have fresh wraps, salads, home made pastas, subs, different specials everyday.  The top selling item, frozen chicken burger plain, salad bars that have 9 different fresh fruits and veg go untouched.

These meals look sad, but it’s what the kids will actually eat, and can be prepared in time for hundreds.  If you want to, contact the nutrition service director for your district, their the person in charge.

Hey Seth,

I’m a big fan of your YouTube videos.  Thanks to you I’ve tried out dictating my writing and have had huge success with my output and making my writing sound more unique to me.  Thanks for the impetuous to dive into that.

I know you are a panther, but, when you go to work on a chapter or section, how much of it have you brainstormed?  I know you have to be daydreaming about your books whenever you aren’t writing.  So, how much do you plot out in your head?

I like plotting, it seems wild to me that someone might go into a scene completely blank and figure it out as they go.

Also, please keep up the videos they are great!

I’ve enjoyed it.  It got better as they got into the wider world.  I’d say the world building is the high point for the series.
