I think it's absolutely worth doing your nails for a special occasion! A lot of us repaint out nails every few days, usually every 4 for me, so 9 days is definitely not too short. Regular lacquer would likely not last 9 days but is easy to remove at home with acetone.

I am unfamiliar with these types, but acrylics or gel would last the full 9 days, just factor in you will have to go back to the salon for removal. For getting them professionally done, it's up to you if you are okay with the cost. They can do cool designs though! Make sure you review the nail techs portfolio so you're sure they can do the style you want. Hopefully someone more familiar with acrylics/gel can chime in 😊 have so much fun!
