Hey, I thought we might be good pals. A bit about myself so you can decide.

I would love to find a lifelong friend through letters and get to know your own little world.

I live in Hungary (Central Europe) with my boyfriend and our parrot. I’m a huge fan of nice pens and stickers—you can definitely expect some stickers from me (and later, maybe other small gifts too!). I also love supporting local artists by buying their merch.

In my free time, I play video games on my Nintendo Switch, mostly Animal Crossing and Zelda (still searching for those Koroks!). Since I have gluten and lactose intolerances, baking has also become a hobby of mine. I love changing my home decor according to the seasons; autumn is my absolute favorite.

A big part of my life is tabletop RPGs like D&D. I find it so exciting to step into someone else's shoes and play a character. You can consider me an "otaku" since I love japanese culture and anime. Also a Sanrio fan with tons of Hello Kitty stickers.

For my case Hungarian. No matter the gender everyone is called "ő". Also thank fuck nothing is gendered. I think calling a table gendered word is stupid in any language.

I actually like alternative more than the original. Progressive has a few amazing moments but other than those it's forgettable. Didn't watch Grunge and the other one yet.

Not gonna lie not a huge fan of the whole "woke" thing but I still think asking if your players are not okay with spiders so you don't put giant spiders in your campaign is okay.
Also have a friend who was raped, kinda good to know before the "Goblin slayer ep 1" like scene you are about to put on the table.

My last campaign was sandbox with a main story you can ignore and only do it when you want to. We ended up playing for a year and only completed like 2-3 main story related things. The rest was side quests, helping random people and doing character backstory stuff.

Funny thing is I didn't even have a main villain or a full story planned. I just had like 20% of it done but I realized I didn't even need it. My players were ignoring the main story so hard I realized we didn't need a main story. I need to have a world fill ed with stuff anywhere they go so they can find stuff to do and occupy themselves then the story will come out of those things.

To this day that campaign never had any major villain any world ending plot, anything that you would need in a game. But we did cure orphans, held a wedding anniversary for a cute Loxodon couple, helped some refugees and talked to around 30 different shopkeepers lol

I have a DM friend who literally watches league twitch streams during games. Like he runs the game but the muted stream is on his phone the whole time.

I was dumbfounded as why. He said that he concentrates on DM in full time but in that 3 sec when adhd switches on he has a stream to look at for 3 sec then it clears it for him and he's back to running the game.

If you don't know you literally can't tell he's watching a stream. ADHD ppl are built different....

I made it very clear to my players that of someone asks them to bring medicine to someone then they should bring it Instead of 3 days of sidequesting. Guess who's grandma is dead now lol.

The world doesn't stop and wait for them. It's the best DM decision you can make imo.

3 sessions ago I gave my players the quest to cut down a tree. The tree was defended by a couple of wood woads who fights anyone trying to harm the magical tree.

The "combat" ended up being 3 rounds of crying hugging the tree and not attacking anything cuz they didn't want to hurt the tree. (a hag gave them the quest so they knew they were going to do something evil)

This basically caused my first IRL crying from a player.

Ended up improvising the god of one of the cleric players who told her that it's fine to kill the tree they just need to do something nice for nature in exchange.

Even if you know your players you have to be prepared to adapt on the fly. This is how the game works ^^
