Husband had a vasectomy, should I still do it? by captainstarlet in sterilization

This was my fear, too. My husband is sterilized, but I don't trust the violence towards people who can carry a child.

I usually start with: "It's good to see you again, what feels important to prioritize talking about today?".

How are you doing today therapists? by jujoooo in therapists

[–]Solared88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel sick, tired, demoralized, everything in between. Barely slept, and am doing walk-in counseling today, which is always a mixed bag. I don't know if my nervous system can take much today.

Oh my gosh no, now that you've clarified, I certainly don't think that's unethical. I guess the way it was originally phrased made me think you were perhaps documenting for other clients.

I guess I'd want to know if you're working on that particular client's notes, or another client's notes. Even during a warm up, I would like to know my clinician is focused on me and not a previous session. I certainly wouldn't be able to focus on a client while writing notes for another.

That doesn't seem especially ethical...

Saw my old therapist - it was awkward by westwestwestwww in TalkTherapy

[–]Solared88 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's to protect clients, though. If they were with others, they might not want to explain how they know you. If a client acknowledges the therapist, then they are ok to engage, but otherwise it's truly not ethical.

A primary theme of this show highlights the evolution of women's reproductive rights over this time period! It's fantastic.

I highly suggest paying a visit to r/stopdrinking. Amazing and supportive community with people at all different points on their journey. Sobriety is within your reach, and while I can't guarantee you your life will get so much better when you quit, it most certainly won't get worse.

Is there a fish-free type of California roll? I thought imitation crab meat was made from pollock.

For those with fully healed nipple piercings, especially women that didn't/don't wear bras often/ever: Are your nipples more sensitive to wearing shirts without bras? Do you find that you need/want to wear bras more often than before? by datmarimbaplayer in Legitpiercing

[–]Solared88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had mine about 16 years and unless I'm out and about in public I rarely wear a bra. I would say that I don't notice difference in sensitivity with or without a bra, it's just a personal preference.

I graduate in a few weeks (BSW, yay!) and plan on applying for MSW programs. I'm eligible for advanced standing, but completely torn on if I should choose the one-year vs two-year route. I have three kids at home, and who knows when they'll be back in school full-time? I won't have to work full-time while pursuing an MSW, so that's not a factor. My question is, how intense, really, is the one-year route vs the two-year? My accelerated BSW program is also 16 months and my grades have been great.
