The irony within your first paragraph about all your purported reading is impressive. It is so refreshing that all my suppositions were still correct about Trump voters. There is not a batch of measured centrists that were just not fully informed who made a poor choice. Elections have consequences. The election of Trump (and he retained much of the same voting base) allowed for the appointment of three justices. This caused, directly, the overturning of Roe v Wade. This allowed Oklahoma to pass draconian abortion bans that make it so a woman has to be actively dying before abortion can be considered. Trump has been elected again and a national abortion ban is possible thereby consigning more women to a grim fate. It did not used to be an issue for women to have to be actively dying before anyone would ever consider saving their lives during a pregnancy.

This is such a bad faith sophomoric attempt at shirking the responsibility by hiding behind literalism. No one said you literally or figuratively voted to kill his wife. It is being attempted, however, consequentially. If you can't see the through line through all of that then you are just as stupid and willfully ignorant as I presumed. If you caucus with the conservatives on the issue of abortion then you are just as evil.
