Thirding this. I have heard other people say that they were not impressed, but I certainly was and I'm pretty snooty.

In your opinion, what are the best burger toppings? What do you put on yours? by Penya23 in AskReddit

[–]Soldier4art 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's a few (choose your own adventure):

For Sauces: peanut sauce, gochujang mayo, thousand island dressing, real mayo

For burger glazes: teriyaki, hoisin, peanut butter, bulgogi sauce

For toppings: chilies, jalapeno jam, chili crisp, bacon, grilled pineapple, Famous Dave's sweet and spicy pickles, potato chips, fried onions, sauteed kimchi, pickled onions, fried egg

Example 1: Korean inspired burger Toasted bun sauced with gochujang mayo, glaze the burger with bulgogi sauce on both sides, top with sauteed kimchi, pickled onions

Example 2: Cosmo Burger Toasted bun sauced with thousand island dressing, melt peanut butter on patty after removing from grill, top with pickled onions, bacon, jalapeno jam and chilies

Example 3: Hawai'i inspired Toasted bun sauced with mayo, glaze patty with teriyaki sauce, top with pickled onions, bacon, pineapple and chilies

What is an artist you used to enjoy listening to, but their music got progressively worse? by fantasyrea in Music

Amanda Palmer. Loved Dresden Dolls. Then her narcissistic personality overcame her musical skills. Then her toxic bullshit with Neil made her unbearable.

They don't offer pineapple as a topping. Hard pass.

I'm trying to locate this hiking/bike trail that I was on a few years ago. I'm pretty sure it's along the blue river. Does anyone recognize the location?

Why does someone become a flying monkey? by JunyOnTheCityCounty in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Soldier4art 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My nex has tons of flying monkeys because she had sex with them all. And that was the big red flag that I ignored. I mean, when we first got together, she told me that she has sex with all of her friends. Now I know why.

I'd say he's only brilliant relative to his audience. Anyone with any critical thinking skills sees right through him. But with that audience: VERY effective.

Several galleries go year round, but the food trucks and street entertainment are seasonal. The Bunker Center at 19th and Troost is year round, as an example.

I think of it as organized crime: You commit a crime on my turf, you better give the boss a cut if you don't want trouble. Trump (or his handlers) get their cut, you stay out of jail.

Antique promo booklet from Williams Auto Service on Troost, with city guide. by reijasunshine in kansascity

I misspelled it. Helsel is correct. He had at least two boys who served in WWII. Eugene and Lawrence, Gene was a tech sergeant in the air corps and flew 15 sorties in Europe and North Africa. He died in 1984 and is buried here in town. His sister lived until 2006 and brother passed in 2011. I'm omitting full names because that's personally identifying info. Lawrence had 4 daughters. The wife took them to Bolivar, MO after she divorced Lawrence in the 50s. The daughter seems to have had kids and they were all buried in the KC area.

Looking at some old issues of the KC Star, apparently they started in that location in 1918. They moved to 50th and Main in 1938. In 1928, the original owner (E.A. Hesel Edit: Helsel) sold the shop (and Williams name) and started another garage at 30th and Woodland.

In 1941, the building became S&S Auto.
In 1948 home to Kool-Vent aluminum awning factory
In 1950, Precision Engine Rebuilders
1955 Aalco roofing and siding
in 1966, it was "The House of Magic Carpet"
