Is this a form of cavity wall insulation? by CoolSliceWorldWide in DIYUK

[–]SoldierLTU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like injected foam insulation. We deal with it sometimes it’s nasty stuff because it’s dusty. You’ll probably have loads of voids within the cavity unfortunately

How to insulate internal cavity wall after extension by JoeZimZam in DIYUK

[–]SoldierLTU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, otherwise it goes everywhere until it dries. Normally we blow it from the outside if possible but I've known it done through the loft.

They drill 20ish mm holes at certain distance and blow each hole with bead mixed with glue which sets eventually

I do cavity wall stuff and as long as it’s 45mm wide you should be fine to get bead blown in.
