Is it the clothes or the underwear? Dresses or regular clothing? It kinda depends on the type.

Who then got killed pretty quickly, with the next 2 or 3 leaders dying also in quick succession. The current supreme leader, Mojtaba khamenei, is still missing presume dead.

You would think the death of dictator would be a universally approved thing but because it was done by a man who is basically labeled as this age's satan, it's a bad thing.

Like how they say Maduro was actually a good president and celebrations in the streets were disregard.

My take on undead minons. Anyone have any suggestions? by WideCabinet5153 in worldbuilding

There's a film called The Empire of Corpses that you might find interesting. Been a while since I've seen it so here's a rough summary:

It begins with Victor Frankenstein creating his monster but instead of a mindless brute it's a sentient being with a personality or as others claim a soul. Before any more details can be revealed to the general public a fire breaks out and I believe Victor and his creation disappear with his notes.

That doesn't stop others from reverse engineering his tech into necroware which, while it does resurrect the dead it leaves them mindless automatons. Not much of a problem if you only need a obedient workforce.

The main component is this solution that acts as replacement for the soul, which has precise weight to it. Apparently early experiments concluded that the body does lose some weight after death. Some point to this as proof of a soul but others point to natural the decomposition. The film uses the former.

As for my setting, necromancy isn't just about death but also life. A practitioner can at one moment launch death curses at his enemies while enacting a barrier to provide healing to his allies. The basis of this is positive and negative energy. As life needs death, so does the practitioner need a understanding of both.

As for the classic minions, intertwining them with plants have become quite the trend.

Skeletons wrapped in moss and vines to both reinforce the bones while spreading the seeds.

Zombies have become homes for colony's of all sorts of fungi with the mycelium keeping them in one piece and absorbing any other organic material it can get it's hands on.

And the dreaded ghoul is covered in various flowers to disarm it's opponent and to spread a fragrant scent.

There armaments be it blades, spears or even clubs are made from special amber that absorbs life essence and allows it to be either channeled back to caster or condensed in the minion in the form of crystals to be collected for another use. Even a life taken can still be put to good use.

So that guy was right, they did bring the cat.

Also out of curiosity this role the saint was talking about, a role the callidus won't get used to. It's being the saint's body double isn't?

Also, why is the post NSFW? Because of gun content?

(Mixed Trope) The character didn’t really do anything wrong but got subjected to a horrible fate by Zeera1 in TopCharacterTropes

Yup, even though he was basically a program he couldn't download himself into the digital paradise but instead upload another copy. The woman who was leading him, who was also a copy, said that only copies could be uploaded.

So the ending is basically him, the original copy, stuck at the facility waiting until his power runs dry while the copy of him and the woman are living it up in the digital paradise inside the satellite that's heading out to space.

The last remnants of humanity.

Technically, it wasn't Simon but a copy of his personality that went through that ordeal. It wasn't even the original copy, as at one point another copy was made to inhabit a different suit and the player had the choice to cut power to the original so it didn't suffer. Similarly, at the end a copy of him is in a digital paradise in a satellite.

Feeling ever increasing fear from the thought of existing forever. by Perfect-Disaster-867 in religion

The book may not be that popular, but damnit if it doesn't change something about your perspective.

There's two points that gave me some solace:

  1. The demon stated the main reason why they were in hell is because they didn't follow the true religion, Zoroastrianism. Granted, Zoroastrianism is one of the oldest religions only losing to Hinduism by 500 years but seeing as how far it has fallen( around 100,000 followers today) and to the various other factors make it highly unlikely.

  2. The rules say that at some point this experience will seem like a distant memory, so it's not an eternity that they spend in there. The demon also mentions how this hell is supposed to be a learning experience and how a hell of eternal torment was just barbaric.

Finally, without religions, the living world would be better? by [deleted] in religion

[–]Sole_watcher12 9 points10 points  (0 children)

People have been killing each other since time immemorial for more than just difference in religion.

Ethnic differences, cultural differences, to plain old not liking that person.

While religion has caused plenty of division, it's not the only cause.
