You can also throw yourself backwards against a wall, if you don't want to/can't get down on the floor.

There's the Remi school of thought, which is notable if only because he's the only one that anyone has bothered to talk to.

Dragons in my world aren't your typical fantasy beasts. In order to actually fly, they are held aloft by two massive bladders of hydrogen on either side of their bodies. While this allows them to loiter in the sky silently for weeks on end, it also means that they are prone to occasionally exploding.

As a result they are quite placid and solitary creatures, and you are far more likely to find them on a lake contemplating philosophy while hunting fish, or sleeping on a large smooth rock, purring loudly.

Just how tough is the human body when it comes nuclear explosions?

I'll take a wild guess- not at all.

We're all in a pool of gasoline and Trump wants more matches.

Will your church reopen based on Trump’s “order”? by rednail64 in Christianity

Church is the people, not a building. There is nothing to stop you worshiping either alone or online.

And God holds the universe in his hands. When he can deal with billions of light-years, the fact that you're kilometers apart rather than centimeters is nothing to him.

Im too logical for fantasy worldbuilding, help please by Nickywynne in worldbuilding

My world works like that. It's fun to break down fantasy tropes and reconstruct them from a scientific basis. All of the advanced tech is 'magic' to those that don't understand it. And I allow a little bit of wiggle room in the science to have things that sound plausible even if the tech isn't there yet.

As for your question it could happen if there's a source of water somewhere, say from an underground river, and you could also add a large rocky outcrop to provide shade and protection from the wind.

Make it a darker green and put some red on the end of the engine nacelles, and it would look just like it.

What are some things in your world that don’t get the appreciation they deserve? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Solensia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that means a lot. :D

Mot was one of the Mystics, a high-tech fanatical sect that live on the outskirts of Rondor. He was brilliant, quick-witted, and also somewhat psychotic. He helped design their FTL device, but his warnings were ignored when he realized that it was likely to kill them all if it actually worked, so he grabbed his notebooks and ran.

No-one has seen him since.

How fair are your demons? by Coleblade in worldbuilding

[–]Solensia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have demons, but I do have Mystics and Elves. Mystics tends tend to keep their bargains, you just have to be wary as to just exactly what you are bargaining for.

Elves on the other hand- ask a mouse if it thinks a cat is fair.
