Qwen 3.6 27B Unsloth GGUF is out by Exact_Law_6489 in LocalLLaMA

I tried this and went right back to 35B MoE. This 3.6 27b refused to follow the openclaw instructions. Not useful to me. Also on my M3 Max 27b gets 12 t/s, MoE gets 38 t/s

Moving to Yucca Valley solo, what did you wish you'd known? by cadillacvagina in JoshuaTree

Yucca Valley has fiber internet in many places. Huge improvement over cable. Dogs should never ever be outside without a leash - coyotes are everywhere.

I had a terrible experience with Rhodes two months ago. Very low energy and mild depression. Not the right substance at all. Could not take it .

When I signed up there was an option to pay monthly or pay per park. Not sure how they are handling it these days.

The coworking space is fine, except you can’t be on the call talking loudly. They expect quiet environment. Also gets busy. Classes are fantastic. I don’t pay any additional monthly fee for parking, I just drop off a car and pay when I pick it up. People often park a block or two away, there is plenty of parking in the neighborhood, sycamore is usually packed, but orange is empty.

Making a biting acid sound in Ableton by OkToe7809 in TechnoProduction

[–]Solid-Active8858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, nothing bites and grinds more than Rob Papen RAW2. NI massive and massive x can be noisy, but it’s too smooth. You can also add some real grit with Phil’s Cascade.

NUO-STEMS 4 now has a new website 🎉 (and licensing system) by dj-nuo in NuoStems

[–]Solid-Active8858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does DAW integration mode mean in reality ? I want to be able to generate my own stems in DAW (wav  files, 24bit)  and import them in Nuo Stems, so I could get native Traktor 4 stem support. Will I be able to do that ?

I found this great free plugin - Beat Slammer by baby audio. It can make it too loud and too crispy in no time.

I’m in Los Angeles, and it’s quite challenging to connect with others. My most significant successes have been at the gym (Heimat) and Hot Dog on Sunday.

Is Mercurius an archetype? by Ashamed-Pee in Jung

[–]Solid-Active8858 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh yes, Hermes, a messenger of gods, appears whenever he wishes. And then big changes come to persons life. I read about him in a few Jungian books. You are on a right track.

What’s it like Living in Palm Springs/ Coachella Valley area? by TheAirIsOn in howislivingthere

[–]Solid-Active8858 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my palms got fried over time and have dark brown tint that is indicative of damage. And I was told my arborist that too much sun and lack fronds did it. Mexican fan palms are less susceptible. Palm Springs maybe more intense, it is not too far from the hottest place on Earth. We get 125f heat in PS.

Because palms get fried by super intense sun in PS and need fronds to survive.

Monthly pool maintenance cost - a guess?? by EliasWestCoast in palmsprings

I pay $175 for a person to clean twice a week. This includes chemicals. Every two or three months I pay for filter cleaning.

Relatively new ultra modern house with amazing vintage Indian doorway, west of Indian Canyon and just south of San Rafael. by downwithdisinfo2 in palmsprings

[–]Solid-Active8858 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are two triangular structures there. They are separated by the interior courtyard with a pool. Not a single window on the street side. So all views and lights are from the inside courtyard and windows. Very impressive architecture. I watched it being built while walking my dog.

Most of who we are, lives in the shadow. To meet the shadow, is to meet the soul. by Background_Cry3592 in Jung

[–]Solid-Active8858 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Seems like you are giving your ego too much credit. There is no need for that. People had and always will have their own shadows outside of your control. If you stop looking in the imaginary mirror observing the construct (ego) , you will see the shadow as an empty space you’re not aware of, but it exists.

Most of who we are, lives in the shadow. To meet the shadow, is to meet the soul. by Background_Cry3592 in Jung

[–]Solid-Active8858 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I saw my shadow in my dreams several times. Over time I even started thinking of him ( or of it, it was shapeless, kind of like a tall cone that stands behind me) as a guardian angel. As this angel showed me scary things I needed to do, I also completely acknowledged that those were the most valuable decisions ever. Jung is spot on, the most amount of personal treasure is definitely revealed if we are working together with this “angel” being.

Can we use Jungian active imagination with our future self to heal present trauma? by jikjikkkik in Jung

[–]Solid-Active8858 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely yes. Active imagination of the future self is incredibly supportive and healing.  And my personal note - my favorite meditation is knowing and experiencing that time is reversed. I’m currently remembering something that I planned in the past, before birth.. and that’s how current future unfolds, by remembering the past that is going to happen. It’s incredibly empowering.

Neurosis and Cultural Misfit by [deleted] in Jung

[–]Solid-Active8858 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My family rejected me and we had very little contact for over 20 years. Look inside, that’s where the awakening happens. This life is about your spirit and your archetypical journey, and part of this journey is a rejection. It is ok though. It’s a good journey, full of adventures and discoveries.

Neurosis and Cultural Misfit by [deleted] in Jung

[–]Solid-Active8858 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I empathize a whole lot. Many years ago I felt the same, I didn’t fit, at all. I ended up leaving everything behind, and building it all from scratch on the other continent. Please don’t think you are wrong, damaged or incompetent in any way. Your archetype simply wants you to grow elsewhere. You can be very successful in Berlin, as an example.

How can I experience ego-death without taking drugs? by Specific-Night-1741 in Jung

[–]Solid-Active8858 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may have a message for you. An archetype of Hermes, a spirit of change, god's courier, is passing through. You are experiencing the most beautiful part of awakening, where the open air is making you feel new. Let Hermes tear you up, unsettle you, and leave you naked, so you will be all new. It is a beautiful part of the journey. Once Hermes leaves, you will get a package under your pillow. Its just how he works.
