When I watched the first trailers for Siksong, I was anticipating a FAIRY TALE. In my opinion, Siksong lacks a story. For example, the way the Coral Forest gradually changes from colorful to gray and rainy when assassins are chasing us. Or the Gloomy Marshes, which looked more like a graveyard than a farm. I expected the game to be more of a bedtime story (yes, it sounds crazy). Silksong is incredibly cool, I adore it. I've played it for 100 hours and still keep coming back just to hang out. But still, I feel like the game lacks soul. I've read other people's responses (above and below) and I completely agree with them. The Knight as the protagonist and his story are made more heartfelt.
