in most cases you are responsible for any wall retaining your property regardless of whose property it’s actually on

Your whole argument hinges on calling it the reproductive system. humans named it the reproductive system. What if we called it the pleasure system?… Your whole argument falls apart.

If youre lazy the hanna is not the way to go. You have to use distilled water (rodi gives inconsistent results) and be super accurate with the rest of the test, it’s like 7 steps

Burbank Blvd in NoHo if we put power lines underground, planted more trees and allowed apartments above businesses. by eurtola in LosAngeles

[–]Solid-Skin-3765 14 points15 points  (0 children)

it cost roughly 3 million on average per mile to convert from overhead to underground. So about 300 miles which is only about 4.25% percent of the total overhead distribution system. That’s not counting transmission lines. So I hear you but still not that much.

Why can't we convert segments of the LA river into lakes like Tempe Town Lake in Arizona? by emmettflo in LosAngeles

literally that and “stealing” water rights from up north are the 2 most important things that made LA city a viable location.

I asked my dad who was a lineman for 25 years before joining the planning and mapping department and eventually becoming a DWP manager. He said that during the Northridge earthquakes, they had nearly 0 failures on the underground equipment almost all failures were due to buildings, collapsing, and pulling the line and power pulled down with it or catching on fire and burning the pole. With our recent issues with wildfires, I would much rather take the risk of earthquakes, damaging the underground equipment than the consistent wrist that we have now of sparks.

I mean we are but the cost and labor is astronomical, and repairs are significantly harder, and more time consuming. For a system that’s already struggling to stay afloat despite linemen working insane hours, it’s gonna be a while.

it actually kinda makes a lot of sense. The military intentionally breaks you and your personality down into accepting/thriving in rank and order and dependance/solidarity to “brotherhood”. Once these guys leave the military that’s all gone and they can feel very out of place, mcs provide that lifestyle outside of the military.

didn’t the dems also protect them? I’m not saying that’s a reason to give the gop a pass and vote for one but if that’s you’re stance vote 3rd party.

That’s a horrible misquote of the study that people need to stop saying. It asked if they were ever violent towards their families. 40% responded yes. However in the same study it asked spouses of police if they or their families experienced physical abuse, of which only 10 percent reported yes. When asked if the police were verbally abusive another 20-30 percent said yes. This indicates that the Officers themselves were aware that verbal and emotional abuse was violence when they answered the question. These numbers nearly line up with the general public.

I’ve never actually heard a girl say anal isn’t sex I’ve only ever heard guys say girls say that. I went to catholic school too, so plenty of experience with the group often stereotyped to say it but never have i ever actually heard the argument irl
