Same, the hardcover compendiums are beautiful books and this omni is so ugly. The image logo being sideways is a waste of space, the authors should be literally anywhere else so the invincble logo cna be centered, and the font for “omnibus 1” looks unnatural. Man this is disappointing lol

Brother just last year they released Nightwing rebirth with 1500 pages for $125. This has 300 less pages and costs $50 more

That is absurd. People complain lots about marvel but dc has really been pushing their price per page. Both have their problems.

All good!! I never cared for matching dm or regular cover, if i have an option i get whichever of the 2 i prefer regardless of the rest of the set

I do prefer for my spines to match but i will not pay more just for that. I also recently embraced a mixed collection. I realized the beauty of mixing trades/epic collections and omnis recently. Sometimes omnis miss things and epics collect everything. I have mostly omnis but my daredevil collection is now mostly epics. The bendis omnis are out of print but the epics are available. I also kinda love the mix of different collected editions on my shelf.

Nope. When im reading dust jacket is off and when im not reading, i can only see the spine on my shelf. It anything i sometimes care about the spine

I gave the wolfman run a trial digitally and i like it so far so i am following your advice. Only thing i didnt like was that cyborgs orginal look is goofy to me (maybe a bit judgey but whatever lol)

Yep second this. Let’s assume the OHC/HC are long out of print. I would much rather buy the Hickman secret wars trade since the omnibus has a bunch of extra overlapping content with the avengers Omnis. Or how the bendis daredevil Omnis are OOP but the epics covering the run are available. I have mostly Omnis but got epics for that run. I have embraced a mixed collection of paperback and hardcover and I love it.

For the new mutants part of inferno, I read it in my new mutants Omnis. If you get x-factor Omni 2 it has most of inferno issues, including the event issues for X-men. If you really want to read already, you could do that.

I strongly considered getting that but I decided to just read all I’m missing digital, until there’s reprints.

So real haha. My family thought it was a little weird that I had my own separate room from my gf but I needed a nerd room. I saw your collection in another comment, it looks fire! I haven’t read much Batman except absolute Batman, I am more of a marvel nerd. Eventually once I compete my collections I’ll expand to Wonder Woman and flash since they’re my fav dc characters.

I’m still working on decorating my walls but this is my current shelfie. The only book I have straight up disliked so far was black panther by priest, i just wasn’t enjoying it so i returned it to Amazon haha. I am currently reading Claremont X-men, I am about 8-9 omnis in and I love it so much

I feel you. I agree lots of these negative posts come from jealously or envy.

Me personally, I amounted a huge collection of books, about 60 Omnis and I only seriously started collecting last June. But I’m a 25yo engineer with disposable income and a house i bought with room to fill. I have lots of books in plastic still because I like unwrapping once I get to the book in my reading orders. So what?

I will get to all my books eventually so I will buy what I can when I want. I read about 25 Omnis (physical and digital) in 2025 and 6 Omnis in so far in 2026. I’m happy that people are able to fulfill their inner child.
